Few years later, i was in a back collision, and my back took a toll. Dr Swanson with his gate link method and the prayers of the faithful, restored me again. I had to go back once to restore an area from the link he does, but that was about 8 to 10 years ago. I do my back exercises and stretches to keep my life normal and healthy, always cautious of not over do it that much, however during a remodeling we did in our house, I lifted up way to much and after helping move a 250 lbs board with my daughter, guess what? Not only did they seek to solve that issue but also showed me an x-ray of my back and how it was starting to curve. We came up with a plan together of what treatment for that would look like. The plan included adjustments, what I am going to call intense stretching (there is a name for it I just cannot for the life of me ever remember.) , and massage and I mean when massage is involved how can it be bad right?? The pain in my back went away pretty quickly after the first few sessions . Unfortunately I had to stop going to treatment because the insurance ran out and so did my money. Using tools and special tables, without having to crack your bones unless the neck needs it. I am in the midst of my ten series and I must say Rich is amazing. My reasoning for coming in was…read morechronic discomfort in my right pectoral muscle and my entire right shoulder joint from a previous injury. Not only did Rich loosen and make it feel better, I haven't really had that discomfort since. And my knees! They have not been cracking since session 4. I will definitely come back for fine tuning. * update.... I have been immobile for 6 weeks with a broken wrist and had to cancel all sessions. I got my cast off yesterday (1/20) and saw Rich today (1/21) and it is probably the best thing I did for myself. With an injured shoulder and broken wrist and immobile for 6 weeks is painful. I came in today somewhat out of whack. Huge thank you for making me feel human. I can move my shoulder and my wrist is so much better. Still a road to recovery but I'm sure I'm ahead if true game! After finishing my 10-series with Rich I cannot believe the changes in my body. I told Rich before…read morewe started I felt like I was trapped in body armor. As a former dancer and athlete it was miserable losing so much flexibility and feeling so stiff and unbalanced. Rich has given me back my body. I am able to take dance, Pilates and yoga class and I feel 15 years younger. This work continues to expand and release in the body after you finish the 10-series--unlike traditional massage. Rich is an expert Rolfer and body worker--continually educating himself about his vocation and bringing that knowledge to his clients.
