Games were on the tv, the darts and games were full and everyone seemed to be having a great time. They have Touch Tunes which is by far my favorite! So everyone playing music had some great selections and kept the tunes going. We didn't eat during this visit but the drinks are reasonably priced! I'd definitely go back as this was recommended by several as a fun, clean dive bar! I can agree.

Since I was with folks who grew up in the adjacent neighborhood we all appreciated the house being repurposed with thought and they have done a nice job turning into a quaint bar with a large patio area. Decor/vibe - 5* The overall vibe of this place is great. We visited on a weekend and there was a live jazz band, who were quite good though it is definitely loud inside during that time. If you have an Apple Watch it will complain to you about the dB registering over 85 for sustained periods of time. In this instance it was about 90-100 the entire time we were there. Throughout the inside there are tabletops with seating and standing, the bar is long without overcrowding the seating which is a nice touch for those sitting at the bar vs those simply trying to order a drink at the bar. There is plenty of area to stand or sit out on the patio as well and one can still hear the live band which makes for a great ambiance. I'd recommend the patio area as the vibe out there is great. There is a bar service area outside connected to the interior bar area though it was not actively setup when we visited. Well thought and makes service streamlined without running between patrons. Food & Drink - 4* The drinks we had were good though nothing on the menu is super "craft" cocktail if that's what you're after. The wine and beer selection is decent as well. Service - 5* The bartenders are very attentive and did a great job balancing the number of people without service times being too long. Pricing - 4* Subjective but IMO nothing is over the top and the service was quick. Overall - 4.5* This is a cute and quaint cocktail bar for those who may be in a group or just taking a date after a meal nearby. I'd recommend visiting and we will all certainly be back!

I arrived just after ten, thinking music might start around then, but I was mistaken - the band didn't start until 11. They were great though, and the music between sets was good too. It's a relatively small space, with a short bar area and most of the interior devoted to pub-height tables with chairs. There are some elevated booths around the back and side walls that look like good places for groups. There's an outdoor area too - pretty empty on this evening because of the cold, but it provides a place for smokers to do their thing. I was at the bar and service was quick there, but it looked like that was the case everywhere - I didn't see anyone hurting for drinks and there was plenty of staff for the size of the place and the crowd. Overall, I'd recommend it - though if you're going for the music, plan for a late night!

That's the whole point of the establishment's existence. (No one else seemed to care about anything but hard seltzers and shots). The bartender said they could still make things from the previous menu, but they didn't have that available, either. She recommended two Jameson-based options, but could think of nothing else. So, I got a beer. I asked for any stouts or porters aside from Guinness, but there weren't any. I asked about one beer she said was "dark", but it was a Pilsner. I like pilsners, so I ordered it...but for the record, they are nothing close to a dark beer. I saw they had Crown Apple after I had started my beer and asked a different bartender if they had Coke Zero. I was told that when he wants a soda he goes to the bar next door. After an alarming number of exchanges, I learned that they DO have Coke, just not any diet varieties. Instead, I later chose a margarita. Yes, it's cute they serve it in a tea cup, but consider that tea cups are very small and there is ice, so it was almost a non-alcoholic beverage. DJ was cool, but, "all night disco" was really some mashup of a few disco/funk songs with some 90s hip hop and a good deal of 80s pop mixed in. Now, it was crazy FUN, but not what I was expecting. Definitely won't be back. I know there is the charm of drinking at grandma's, but it's really just a lousy hipster dive bar with thrift store art on the walls. The second star is just for having a fun dj (brought in a fun crowd).
