They do everything they can and have helped with every health concern I had. I know they are also understaffed. My Doc is all business and I don't expect her to be fluff, she's there to take care of my health. I appreciate that, that's military grade. Get to know the staff, let them take care of you, and make sure to show your care for them.

I visited The Rice Lake VA Clinic On 07-12-2022 @ 2:30pm I was scheduled to be seen by this…read moreindividual... B.D. (PA)(?) He was to address three health issues that needed immediate attention which I waited for over a week to be seen for. Upon entering the exam room B.D.(PA)(?) had not greeted me or spoke anything that could be considered friendly and caring. He immediately began to tell me that I MUST accept his prescription for a "lifelong" High Blood Pressure Pill or our conversation is over and I could leave. This individual did nothing to address my concerns for such medication or make any attempt at servicing any of the three issues that brought me there that day. B.D. left the room and called Police to have me removed from the premises. At no time did I cause any disturbance whatsoever. This individual B.D. (PA)(?) even later went so far as to say that I used racial slurs towards him which never happened. My entire time on the property up until they closed at 4:30 pm I had seen no other patients being served other than one who was ahead of me in the beginning at 2:30 pm. This Clinic had at least 5 nurses (?) On staff and this Physicians Assistant B.D. and none of them in a span of almost two hours could find the time to speak with a Veteran in medical need who had a scheduled appointment at 2:30 pm. I drove 45 miles one way only to be escorted off the property because I didn't want to accept this Individuals "Magic Pill" and a begin a lifelong downward spiral that would definitely begin as soon as I took part in such a regimen of medication. The real crime in this all is that 6 days later I get a call from The Minneapolis VA (Ben ?) saying that "SOMEONE" (?) made a mistake 5-6 years ago when I first signed up for VA care at Rice Lake, WI and I'm actually not even in the system. This after over 5 Years of care and annual checkups and the leg injury I currently have been seen by them over the last 6 months... All this now doesn't matter anymore... I'm supposedly not in their system.... I'd like to thank B.D. (PA)(?) And all the staff on hand that day 07-12-2022 @ 2:30 pm for doing absolutely NOTHING for a Veteran in medical need and allowing this individual B.D. (PA)(?) to play his games with paitents and when he doesn't get his way he pulls whatever strings he can at The Minneapolis VA Clinic to further cause pain to a Veteran in medical need. This is far from over. And someone needs to step up and service Veterans in need and not play with them in their childish games. Grow up B.D. and put your big boy pants on and try and live up to whatever oath you took.
