Orthokeratology is a surgery free way for children and young adults to leave their glasses behind and not have to wear contact lenses all the time.    It is the use of specially designed contact lenses to temporarily reshape the cornea to improve vision.  It is worn at night to shape the front of the eye while you sleep.  The minute I set my foot at this Clinic, I was impressed with the interior setting, the decor and the cleanliness. I have always associated a clinic to be much like a hospital that has sick patients, rude nurses and a heavy atmosphere.  How could I have been so wrong? We were greeted well by one of the three customer service personnel. The waiting time was very reasonable. All the equipment around looked new and technologically advanced. The eye exam performed by qualified professionals went extremely well. It is quite rare to have professionals being overly patient and attentive in dealing with their clientele. Exceptional service! I do not have to say where my entire family will have our eye exams done from now on.

There is a huge selection and the service is fast. Oh, and my son loved his exam, the optometrist was excellent with kids. They called me within a week when the glasses were ready ( I already had my prescription so they were able to order them ASAP). The glasses were perfect, the best pair I've had yet. I paid under $200 and my insurance covered most of it. There is a kids space for drawing while they wait to be called. Compared to other places, this place is bigger and better organized with a huge reception area to keep things moving along. The optometrist was perfectly bilingual. I found street parking nearby (walking distance in the neighborhood) but there is also paid parking directly on the street. I really like the case my glasses came in (I got to choose) and overall I had an excellent experience here! Great for all ages.

She did a wonderful Brazilian, by far one of the least painful I have EVER had! And believe me that says a lot as I am a Toronto native and our standards for Brazilians are very high. She did an impeccable job, very accurate and, of course, she never double dips in her wax. I loved how professional, quick and friendly she was. I also had my eyebrows done at the same time, which of course she did a fabulous job of. I like my brows natural and she did them perfectly. Plus I have a low pain tolerance when it comes to plucking and usually tear up, amazingly she was so gentle I could have fallen asleep!! The spa itself has a gorgeous homey atmosphere. Very clean and warm! We were immediately greeted and offered the usual coffee/tea/water. We were then were led upstairs to two comfy chairs to await our appointment, which we did not wait long for. Now for the real kicker: PERFECT PRICE! If you're looking for the right place on the west island for any of your waxing needs, Manon is certainly it.

In 30 minutes, she did a brazilian and removed my complete arm hair. I really want to try a pedicure on my next visit. There are promotions sometimes, so its a good idea to bring a friend. To me it is a plus to know that, since that is my preference. They offer discounts to students. In my opinion their prices are fair. The place is clean and well located!

I had such a great experience here that I immediately arranged to have my husband come here for…read morelasik as well. I feel like doing a PSA for them. The place is bright and airy and friendly, and I was made to feel like a valued client from the moment I called and spoke to Danielle, in administration, who is extremely nice and patient. First and most important: you meet your surgeon the day of your free consultation, which I've learned isn't very common in the world of Lasik. And you get to ask as many questions as you like. Yes, they have a schedule they adhere to as best they can, but there's no feeling of being rushed in and out the door, pay here, okay, byeeee. No one even asked me when or even if I wanted to schedule my surgery after the consult. There was zero sales pressure. Instead, it's relaxed and friendly and everything is on your terms. I was very nervous about the procedure, particularly after a bad experience at Lasik MD, but the techs and doctors (I had Dr. Balazsi, who's awesome) explained everything multiple times and really eased my worries. There were no surprises, and my husband was even allowed to watch the surgery from outside the OR (through a big window and via a live TV from the laser), which he said was really cool. The surgery itself didn't hurt (TAKE THE VALIUM): the numbing drops worked like a dream (I asked to be doused; they were like, "No prob"); there was just a strange feeling of pressure and a smell of burning hair from the laser, and then it was over. Yes, it's an odd sensation to have your eyes held all the way open with tape and clamps, but breathe through it and trust that you'll be okay. Also, they talk you through every single step, and the nurse/assistant/tech lady lets you squeeze her hand practically to death. (Nathalie? I love her.) Not going to lie, the next few hours kind of sucked. Once the numbing drops wore off, I spent 4-6 hours, eyes closed, blinking as told, crying a bit, feeling extremely sorry for myself. In the brochure, they say it feels a bit burn-y, like you were cutting onions. Um, mayyyybe, if your eyeballs were used as the cutting board. Frankly, it hurt. (But maybe I'm extra sensitive.) Also, and this is kind of key: they explained in advance WHY they don't offer extra numbing drops/painkillers (beyond otc) post-op. Evidently, we need to feel the discomfort, because it makes us blink, creating tears, which helps the healing process. It also helped me feel like, "Okay, they're not just torturing me as some weird toughen-up policy. This makes sense." But once that part was over--I "rested my eyes" (slept) through most of it, which helped a LOT--it was fine. That's when I'd describe things as merely "uncomfortable." Like grit in your eye. But not a stabbing horrible grit. More like it was windy outside at the beach. And that also decreases. It's day two, and I have a minor ache (shouldn't be on the computer) and my eyes are still getting used to focus, BUT I CAN SEEEEEE. And I'm not in pain. And it's just so cool. I can't say enough good things about this clinic and their people. I'm really happy with everything. I recommend Laservue wholeheartedly.

His office is located in a high rise commercial building off of st jean's pointe clair. His office is a little outdated small but his skills are far greater than any place we've been to. He is great and definitely treated my husband like a real patient with a lot of attention and care. He got rid of something that bothered my husband a lot in just a few minutes. It was literally a 5 min procedure and off we went. No pain no severe complications and just a huge smile on my behalf after the final outcome. Overall, I definitely recommend Dr Smoley he's great and a total Gem in the west island!
