I can only speak from my experience. After doing extensive research and repeatedly being ignored by…read morespecialty LMTs, who were apparently uncomfortable with doing massages on people with nerve damage. I was recommended to Michael by a top rated bodywork specialist. Michael definitely helped me to get a jump start after having a major operation that caused nerve damage. Michael was very professional. I would have absolutely left my massage session if there was even an ounce of unprofessionalism. He answered my questions and provided honest feedback. It took me over 45 minutes to get to his office and it was well worth the drive.

Women, beware. I went to Michael because of a gift certificate I was given. At the time I had gone…read moreto several massage therapists and wasn't finding the help I needed. I hoped based on Michael's description online this would be a more scientific and academic massage rather than a "feel good" one. I walked in to a room with no front desk staff and what appeared to be a self-run business. Absolutely nobody else was around, and that was my first intuition that something seemed off. Michael half paid attention to me and seemed distracted, even annoyed. He barely went over a medical history with me when I tried to explain what I knew was anatomically wrong with me. He told me to change and get under the massage table sheets, then left the room without closing the door. When he returned he started to abruptly touch me in areas I was telling him were sensitive. He looked at my upper shoulders and jolted them down telling me my posture needed to be like that (well, duh, that's why I'm here). There is no way to relax when you feel your body being attacked, and when I tried to explain that to him he just became angrier. When he went to my pelvis I had a defensive response and had to push his hands away. It was creepy and as a woman that is a VERY delicate part of the body that cannot be quickly approached by anyone without any warning. At this point we both knew we were not going to proceed with the massage. It's no wonder he has so many reviews by women on this platform and google warning against him. I'm not sure if he was upset that I was yet another woman complaining of back pain or if he was mad I was using a gift certificate. I told him he needs sensitivity training.
