They are friendly and make sure that you are well taken care of during your visit checking to make sure no ingrown hairs are left behind. I would normally rate this 5-stars if I only went to these two ladies. However, on my last visit, I was stuck with a new girl (a redhead, younger) that I had never seen before. I don't recall her name, but to call her a novice is accurate. Perhaps more training or apprenticeship is required for sugaring for her, but this was very uncomfortable. The amount of pulling, too hot sugar, and left behind hairs wasn't worth the cost. No clean-up provided and it was just all around awkward. The other issue is with re-booking. From a business standpoint, wouldn't you want your receptionist trained upon checking out a client to re-book the client for their next session. This never happens and I am always the one to initiate the re-booking. Due to this, I haven't gone back since August. A bad sugaring and no re-booking bothered me. I do love this business, just not all the time. Last year at Christmas time, each regular client got a mug which was a wonderful token for clients. If you go, see who you are scheduled with before you make the appointment.

While, admittedly, I was looking at a physical spa experience in a surrounding that was peaceful and calm I believe they might be in the midst of doing some remodeling? I had an amazing facial and organic eye treatment by Casey and she was really great. She was very experienced, took great care and delivered a refreshing facial that I would definitely do again! I was then walked over to the nail salon where they do massage. (hence my comment about not the physical surrounding I was expecting) I had a 90 min hot stone massage with Sara and let me tell you ... in the 30+ years I have had massages - Sara blew everyone away! It was the most amazing experience I have ever had! Many times with hot stone massage it's seems the hot stones are used as an obligatory 10-20 min but Sara incorporated them throughout and it was incredible. I can't quite explain with words what made this so wonderful - it was clear that she was the art of massage, she wasn't just going thru rote motions. She was detailed and methodical and thorough and caring. I wish I could find the right words but I tell you I will be looking her up every chance I get to Albuquerque. Do yourself a favor and let Sara take away your worries for 90 minutes and feel the reality melt away.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt peaceful and relaxing--it instantly put me at ease. What a lovely experience. I was hunting a very specific look of which a few had turned me away. I didn't want the current bushy/full brows, but a leaner/finer look. Not only was she up for the challenge, she made it great. Just got back home, so I'll need to take a new photo in a few days once the tint has washed off my skin. Kristen is a lovely person to be with, very real, honest and high integrity. Not to mention over 20 years of experience. The price was more than fair, and I actually expected more. (Yes I tipped her). Put you trust in her and her salon, walk in and relax knowing what you need she can manage and work with you. Perfect business, lovely woman Kristen is. The two photos are 3 days later, no makeup at all, no brow pencil or color filler, no brow mascara, nothing and they are flawless. The most recent visit was for a facial with Emily, who's an absolute expert in her craft. Shoutout Capricorns! During your session they assess your skin and let you know what they are doing and using. It's so calming that I often find myself falling asleep by the end of it. They have private tubs you can reserve for an hour if that's more the vibe you are feeling, but you can also use the hot tub before or after your appointment to soak which is so relaxing. I do appreciate the touches of tea kettles and tea in the lounge area that are complimentary. They also have snacks and other things if you are there longer. Remedy is such a sweet serene spot right in the university area that you'd kinda forget where you are because it's so peaceful while experiencing it, and that's why I can't recommend Emily and Remedy enough.
