I got my first root canal done in the fall, and I got my crown put on today. I was absolutely terrified. Dr. Cantwell is so gentle and so good at what he does. Everyone at the reception desk is always very kind and answers all of my dumb questions that I tend to ask, I highly recommend this dentist!!! I'd like to give it 10 stars if I could!!!

They got me in for an emergency visit within an hour of calling them. Dr. Jay and Heather were very patient with my tender tooth, and made sure I was in complete comfort (tooth completely frozen) before the proceeded. They have a TV with Netflix in each room so I enjoyed watching The Office while they worked on me. To top it all off, I didn't have insurance and they discounted some of the work they did. Extremely professional and I will be going back to them in the future.

The service I received from the dentist and his team was wonderfully compassionate, caring and accommodating given that I did not have an appointment. The dentist was exceedingly helpful and professional in taking the time to explain to me the complications of the extraction. It turned out that I had a severe infection that prevented the anesthetic from doing its job. I left with a prescription for painkillers and antibiotics. Though he advised me seeking the help of a dental surgeon with his office manager forwarding my file to a dental surgeon, I did return after the infection subsided a week later and he was able to extract the tooth with ease and grace without any complications. I am indeed very grateful and appreciative for the time and effort extended to me by him and his staff. I highly recommend the Thames River Family Dentistry for their quality of care.

I no longer live in Chatham but I still…read morego back for my dental care, as I find the dental offices in bigger cities rife with aggressive, and expensive, dental procedures that are unnecessary. Grand West Dental is the only place that has been honest, even when it means they do not get additional revenue from a procedure. It is clear that the staff at Grand West Dental care about the business and it comes through in honest, genuine and friendly service from everyone at the front desk to the dentists themselves.
