They loved it and talked all the way home about the horses and activities especially were impressed with riding the horse to cool off in the pond. These boys were excited to do their first ride and we were so grateful to the staff who spent much effort to insure they knew how to handle these horses. Safety was the watch word. Our escort was just great. She assisted in every way to show the mount/use of reins/dismount. Thank you so much! They told us she would be starting in 4 weeks time because she was 3rd on the list. No problem. They said they would call when it was time. Called back in 5 weeks. The person who answered seemed annoyed at my inquiry, and stated "we have a pretty big show coming up in 2 weeks, she won't be starting until after that". Again, she indicated someone would contact us after the show was over. 3 more weeks went by, made another call, left a message, no response. Another few days, another message, no response. I just don't understand how you can ghost a 10 year old after telling her she can train but then repeatedly delaying her start date. If you can't accommodate, why not just say that upfront instead of getting a kids hopes up? I understand busy, but the blatant disrespect for other people's time, especially where a child is concerned, is just a huge let down.

We were at Creekside for a short amount of time…read more My daughter started taking lessons with one of the trainers there and enrolled in the riding school. For first impressions Javier and Begonia (owners) were so welcoming. Made you feel like part of the family. They do have a decent facility. Could it use some upgrades, yes. But for the price it is ok. I will try not to turn this into a book. We enjoyed the place so much that we purchased an amazing horse through the trainer (not creekside) but we chose to board our horse there. We paid for three months in advance of boarding and for the first month things were ok. Then it got very bad very quickly. Our horse was not being fed on a regular basis. The verbal agreements that were made for paying lessons up front for an entire month were all of the sudden no longer ok. Overall if you do any business with this boarding and lesson facility make sure you get any arrangements in writing. This was our mistake. We tried to resolve our issues but it was not very important to Creekside to keep our business. The owner has many horses of his own that are in stalls and those horses are most definitely cared well for. The owner cares more about his own personal dressage riding than any of his boarders or riding school students. They have a high turnover for the help that is hired and staff/workers are not properly trained to deal with horses. They don't have nor do they verify proper vet records on these horses. They don't have properly managed deworming. They are not organized. We finally had to leave because of the lack of care for our horse, we had to leave without notice due to the worry for the care of our horse. When I informed the owners why we were leaving they did respond professionally and did say they would issue a refund for the last month we had paid in advance for. We left towards the end of October and this is December and no check received. I waited this long to write my review. Just a final warning if you arrange anything with this place get it in writing, and closely monitor your horse that it is being properly cared for on a daily basis.

In Texas she seems to be the only serious dressage trainer and rider here (no need to offend anyone else, just my observation). In any event, I was privileged to go to her facility yesterday and meet with her and her father and her staff and the experience could not have been more pleasant. They spent a great deal of time with me and I rode some exceptional horses, the quality of which I have not seen since riding and showing in California. The facility is outstanding and I am truly thankful for the care and consideration they showed me and my horses. My sense is that whatever your goal, Marta will help you get there. I have only the highest praises and I rarely take time to write a review.

Each lesson is always a great and fun learning experience. They aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible while challenging you and helping you find that motivation from within. They are talented instructors with years of experience to help guide and mold riders to become their most successful. Even in group lessons, they take their time with EACH rider. Also, they are super quick with reaching back out in regards to booking lessons, rescheduling lessons and being flexible with your schedule. All the horses are so sweet, patient, well trained and beautiful. Please try this place out and I promise you will want to make this your forever stables for either you or your loved ones.

There are two covered arenas - one with jumps, an outdoor dressage arena, two covered round pens, a cover equinoxes (walker), and four barns that handle hot and cold temperatures well. We have great trainers in English and Western disciplines, and endless trails along Cypress Creek with parks. I have been to most of the barns in the area and never felt tempted in the slightest to leave.

Like I said, this seems to be more for any kid that wants to ride a pony, but not if you are looking to advance your career (IEF and above type).

There are a lot of empty stalls, though!…read more My main complaints are that the horses spend too much time in the stall and they nickel and dime you to death...I've never taken any of their lessons because they are too expensive. Example: this past summer was very wet, so they would not put the horses in the pasture for fear they would tear up the pasture. However, they did offer to put your horse on the hot walker for $10 per day but you had to buy 10 days minimum. In addition, they insist on keeping your credit card on file to automatically charge. To push this strategy, they charged extra if you paid by check, stating that it was due to the extra costs of cashing checks....uh.... there ARE no extra fees for cashing checks but you do pay more for credit card transactions!

My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it.
