Just an extremely well-run operation and we're so happy we discovered this place with such wonderful people. One time the door on our travel trailer somehow wasn't properly secured when we left it... so during a breezy rainstorm while we were not there, the door physically opened. Scott, Cedars maintenance manager, was first to notice the problem and shut the door, but it could not be locked without the key, so Yvette, operations manager, was so kind to call me to make me aware of the situation, out of concern that the door might open on its own again and our camper might be subjected to water damage. Yvette went out of her way to let me know what happened in case I wanted to lock the door, and I thought this really speaks to the high level of customer care at Cedars. With all of her other responsibilities as manager of operations at Cedars, this kind of concern by Yvette and her staff for those at the property was really wonderful, and points to why Cedars is such a beautiful, well-maintained and popular vacation spot. However, there's too much traffic for my liking, and the trains are a bit much as they're only a stones throw away and sound their horns every time all night long. People are constantly driving in and out of the park up to and slightly past the cut off. If you're parked near the road it gets old in a hurry. The general store in the park is fairly priced & handy. The wifi is very limited at your site but is unlimited at the store. It costs $25 extra per week to park a second vehicle here or $10 a night. A little bit much imo. There were loud gun like bangs during the first day I was here and police coming through the first night I was here. As I write this at 21:44 there have been four vehicles through here in the last 15 minutes. Three of which were diesel, and one shining their lights directly into my camp. If you're going to stay here, try and get a spot to the rear of the grounds. It cost me roughly $300 to stay here for a week.

For example today I attempted to refill a propane cylinder.. a contractor comes around every Thursday but since i missed him, and I still needed my tank filled.. I asked for some help.. however, since there is no monetary incentive $$.. nobody on staff could (or would..) tell me where to go:( Oh and if you're in the shower and some flushes the toilet.. hopefully they know to warn you otherwise you will be scalded from hot water..!!

Our cell phones didn't have any service after crossing the border, so we had to rely solely on our GPS which got us ridiculously lost due to recent construction changes unknown to the GPS in the Surrey area where the campgrounds located. Wifi service is available only around the front office and pool, which is slightly inconvenient but did the trick. The neighbors were friendly, and the bathroom showers were free, clean, and nice and hot.

Featuring 25 full hookup sites, each professionally landscaped and with its own picnic table, the sites here are large, level, and you don't feel like you're right on top of your neighbors. Most of the sites were back-in, but there are a few pull-through sites too. The on-site bathroom is not only one of the nicest campground restrooms I've ever visited, it's one the nicest restrooms I've ever visited in general. There's also a small coin-op laundry area, utility sink, and even a water bottle filling area inside. The park was clean and quiet during our two night visit. It's also just a few minutes walk (or a level bike ride) to several restaurants and grocery stores. We will definitely be adding this to our regular weekend getaway rotation! I definitely recommend getting a reservation, as the park appeared completely full this weekend.

Not allowed in the showers, as their 90yr old park spy didn't like "The looks" of my wife and son. We filled a small dog pool for the pooches on the hot days and no sooner had we started filling it (Less than 35 gallons) we were told no pools. They said this was posted at the office. Keep in mind this is the office that is always locked and unattended and everything from checkout to check in is done by messages and email. We, and I assume others as well, are followed and spied on. If you stay, keep your head on a swivel and your eyes open as you are watched. The owners and management are rude and snotty. We were scheduled to stay for many months but after less than three weeks we are packing up and leaving. Gate is always open so security is also a risk here. Most other tenants are great. The others have nothing but time to fill and axes to grind. Typical off site owners who run this by keyboard and shitty management. We just finished our latest tour of the states and stayed at a little over 100 koa and private campgrounds this go around and loved all of them!! Except this one. DO NOT STAY HERE! There are tons of vacancies at way nicer parks for same $$$ or cheaper. We give this park a big fat double thumbs down with a raspberry on top.

The only complaint this landlady has about my space is i have my trees in pots that i have had for…read moremany years and others planted which is one of the reason we have constant water shut off for leaks etc. Everything i ask to do like put a canopy over my entrance 100% on my own deck, she says no but yet there are complete patios and porches and many gazebos with screens etc. I put my custom screen on my awning and she made me take it down because it was the wrong color and the nosy neighbor lady who has since moved could not see thru it to spy on other neighbors. She mowed every single site in the park but mine. I had to pay to have someone mow for us since we both are on disability. She could care less. Our site is muddy. I cannot park and load without getting in the mud. Law says has to be hard surface for drive and 3 in minimum of gravel under site and on site. My sewer that has to be dealt with every couple weeks we have 2 x 4 to prevent getting in mud when you open and close she calls junk. Every time I ask her for something she threatens me and makes my stay miserable. We have been here 11 yrs. We are not campers so only the monthly people have a clue what I'm talking about with the landlords and their never ending harassment to try and make this an RV park under RV rules when she has many mobiles and permanent people in here that she and us are bound by landlord tenant laws for mobiles. We keep our site nice, we pay our rent on time and have never in all the 11 years missed a month. I had a dispute recently with my electric bill twice the normal it has ever been. She ignored it and said it will go down in summer but yet we have no new appliances or heaters or anything that runs high watts. We have had more than one short in the electric here and twice on our plugs fixed by the landlord not an electrician. But to go from $80 at highest ever to $158 for 1 month with no new anything means it has short or someone plugged into my site, She claims all the people here are happy but me but most are just afraid to face her. She is a rich Asian who has e or 4 houses to live in plys a halfmillion dollar rv to travel in. She does not know what permanent living in 300 sq ft does to you and my only fun is a little gardening but she wants me to quit that or buy expensive pots that all match so i look good to her. there failure to deal with real problems results in here telling us to leave. If i could afford to I would but we are skirted, have 110 appliances and cannot live self contained any longer. Also whoever asked gets fences but not us so i have to deal with other dogs using our yard for their poop jobs. the people that are happy do not have to stay here year round and she is done some really mean things to other tenants that gave up and moved. I dont know where people have been living to think that mowing and cleaning bathrooms is out of the normal. We have lived in parks for 22 yrs and all were nice and quiet and mowed and clean so that is not a rating for a full time tenant and certainly not what we put up with. Please come in and talk to some of the long term people. I can give you names. also to make our life hell over our plants in pots rather than the ground is just wrong. I just paid to have a brick wall made to put my main pots behind and our site looks nice. If there were conformity to the park it would be different but some have many things built onto and around their units and nothing is alike so how do make someone conform to nonconformity? So she has singled me out and i am fed up with it. I told her to sue me and lets let the courts tell her what the law says but she just continues to harass me. What she calls junk is all the life we have. rich people !!

It seems that staff might unintentionally contribute to this by sharing information among themselves. Additionally, some guests have raised concerns about the usage policies for amenities, such as the limited access to washrooms and the daily fees for pool usage. Many feel that these regulations could be more accommodating and reflect a welcoming spirit. It might be beneficial for management to consider these perspectives, as several guests are suggesting a reevaluation of the experience to make it more enjoyable for everyone. If you expect privacy this is not the place, as staff will come on your lot and take pictures of the site without any notice or permission with cameras in tow.

The park is mostly your round residents, many who have not moved their RV in years. There are some mobile homes and some prefab type housing units as well. I knew this going in, but the ratings were good on another review site so I had no worries. The staff was friendly. They have a store stocked with some odds and ends. Found a gas connector adapter I needed and it was only $1. The clubhouse has visitor information as well as pool and air hockey tables that have seen their better days. There is a nice pond with ducks and a little dock to sit on. There is a 9 hole mini golf course. It has seen it's better days as well and was homemade with the greens coming up or buckling in places. I appreciate the effort though and my kids liked it. They had pedal bikes you could rent for a whopping $12 per hour, which seemed excessive to me. I never saw anyone riding them. They had a pool and spa which was nice and clean, though I wish it stayed open later. The park is near a shooting range. I know this disturbed some of the residents at times. We run the fan on the AC unit all night so it never bothered us. If you have pets or want to spend time outside, just be warned. There were a couple things I was concerned about. First, the wi-fi was terrible. Signal was poor in our site. Apparently the full timers all have cable internet, so the wifi was just for the short term people. It was manageable if I set my laptop in one area and it was late at night or early in the am. Our last day though, the wifi slowed to a crawl. It became unusable. I went to the clubhouse to get a better signal and with full signal, it would not even load gmail. A friend had just called me and it appeared my mailbox had been hacked. I was desperate to get on, fix the problem and change passwords to important things like banking and what not. I complained to the staff. They called someone who told them that the wifi is supposed to be "dial up speed." It just so happens, my expertise is in wifi networking. This was not dial up speed even, they had other problems. After some time of trying to get it to work, a person in the office (who turned out to be related to the owner) took me to his site and got me connected via a hard line into his personal internet provider. I got it resolved and really, really appreciated his help. The wifi did not work for the rest of the time we were there. Data roaming on your cell can cost you thousands in Canada (if you are from the US). I had been certain to ask twice about wifi when I booked because it was vital I had reliable wifi. So, this was a big disappointment. I also heard a couple people talking about things being stolen in the park at one time. I never felt worried or unsafe. However, the bars on the office windows lead me to believe this is not exactly Mayberry. For visiting Vancouver, I really wish we had stayed north of the city instead of south. Vancouver is just under an hour from here and we did things mostly that were in or north of Vancouver. This did not factor into my rating. Nearby, I highly recommend Mary's Garden for buying produce. Also, for fun go to 184st and 0 Ave and drive right along the border. The Peace Park was also fun and close by. If you are visiting Canada, keep in mind that everything is hyper expensive here, and that's from someone who lives in LA.
