Although the design overall met our needs we have been extremely dissatisfied with how we have been treated by the owner. A major and costly error was made when he worked off of old blue prints and never even bothered to field measure. He never communicated with us or acknowledged the error. The contractor was left to explain the delay expense and major additional and unexpected inconvenience his error caused my family I still cannot believe he has not even acknowledged this major screw up let alone apologized for it. I would Never recommend this firm. Ever.

Got…read moreimmediate response and spent time on a phone call discussing what it was I wanted to accomplish. I had 3 external cosmetic enhancements I wanted to do, and wanted advice about moving one internal wall. Architect arrived on time but took one look at my 1950s house and admitted "I wouldn't have any idea where to start" and ran. Literally. Huh? I didn't want YOUR ideas; I wanted to know if you could draft plans for MY ideas! I know exactly what I want: I just wanted someone who could draw plans for me and I thought this was abundantly understood, based on our phone discussions. Fortunately, a friend with an 1880s house gave me the name of her architect, who subsequently came and said "yes, yes, yes, but do that this way" and is drawing what we needed. Sheesh! How hard is it to listen to what a client (or potential client WANTS) and draw to specs? I could see if I was some simpering innocent who had no clue. Clearly, this architect does NOT want to draw to what a client wants, but wants to TELL the client what they want. Whether they do or not. My bet is that this fellow did not know how much money I have in the bank and thought because the house is old, I have no money. No, I have a boatload of money to invest on this house. I just need someone with vision and craftsmanship to help me translate my ideas into measurable plans and, clearly, this architect is NOT up to the challenge of even creating simple drawings of an older house.
