In 2019, we had our Majestic fireplace installed by Kugel & Sons Fireplaces. When the fireplace was…read moreinstalled, the flame was very low. Kugel's son said that was normal and with time it would get higher...it never did. I called in January, 2020 and spoke to his wife, who said their first available appointment was March 3rd, 2020. At that time, we were also told that they no longer sold the Majestic brand. Mike Kugel came out and recommended a gas serviceman to call. He came out and told us to order 2 parts. We did. Why would we need to buy parts for a brand new fireplace? The gas guy came out and didn't know which parts we needed to use...left and never came back. November, 2021, fireplace still doesn't work. I called over 5 times to speak to Mike, the owner and still have not gotten a call back. I was told by the young girl that works in the office, he doesn't want to come out or call me back since the other guy had touched the fireplace. When it was Mike who told us to call him!! You all should be ashamed of yourselves. To not come out because of something that has been going on since installation. I do not recommend Kugel & Sons. They don't stand behind their work. They don't return phone calls. To spend over $6000.00 for a fireplace that doesn't work deeply saddens me. This is a classic example of "we have your money, so we can't/won't help you! On the first day of the rebuilding process, the project manager, Taz, arrived early to introduce himself and give me a summary of the work that would be done, along with the names of each team member who would be working in my home. This helped to put me at ease. Each day, the team arrived on time, and Taz kept me informed about the tasks that would be completed by the end of the day. Their punctuality is outstanding. Most importantly, Taz and his team cleaned up after themselves every day. I appreciate their care and communication regarding my property. I will definitely reach out to this company again, and I would be happy to refer them to friends and family.
