Not only do the PCYC markets offer a good range of fruit and veg, but you get to feel a little bit chuffed with yourself for Damning The Man and paying the farmer. There is also a lot of bric-a-brac to sift through if you are in the mood. Sure, a lot of it is crap but there are some gems to be found, especially in the second hand stalls. Dammit, here I am giving away my secrets! My only complaint about the markets is that I find the dining options a little lacklustre. This should be prime territory for local food trucks and coffee stands! It's not often that you'll hear me championing competitive capitalism (after all, didn't I just Damn the Man?), but if it is going to get me a breakfast burrito and a good soy latte on a Sunday morning?
