This company is awful.My former employer uses paylocity and they enter all zeros for ss# on w2's and it's been a 5 months still trying to get fixed with Bellinger auto parts and paylocity.You call paylocity and they can't answer your questions and tell you to contact former employer.Former employer want talk with you cause they say paylocity is the problem.This is terrible to treat someone this way.ADP will always answer questions.Had to give a 1 star but would give zero if it was up there read more

We changed from paylocity to ADP. mid year. ADP managed to report our income to SSA, but paylocity failed to do so company wide. Good luck getting them to fix this. Now each employee will need to call SSA to correct this issue. read more

AWFUL! We were promised so many things, such as onsite implementation and training for a January start date and it never happened. Their response was they would kick off a few bucks from our bill. We reached out because we had a problem with tax contributions and their response was that this was a busy time of year for their dept. so there was no resolution offered. The customer service is the most horrendous, as if we were bothering them every time we contacted them. Never experienced this with any insurance, benefits or any other vendor I have ever worked with. Looking to switch as we speak. HUGE thumbs down. read more

We have been with Paylocity since 2010, in the beginning the service was good, now I'm dealing with marginal service at best. I call the 800 number and most of the time I get my assigned customer rep, something I get rerouted to the next available rep, but when they don't know the answer or need to escalate the issue, it may take 2 to 3 months for someone to call you back or fix the issue. I have been dealing with issues with the 1095C for the past 3 month and the issue just got resolved. I requested a change to the medical coverage (as we changed medical provider) it took them 3 weeks to get back to me and then requested I complete it on my end - why could they say that to begin with???? I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE USE PAYLOCITY. read more

Avoid relying on customer service at all costs, now switching to a difference provider because of the customer support issues.

I had been very happy with the company throughout the year, but recently, when they moved to this 'cluster group" for customer service, I have been extremely frustrated, and the level of service has dropped so much that they do not even deserve 1 star. We have had the need for a custom calculation for our overtime rate, and they haven't been able to make it work properly. When I called on Friday afternoon at 3:30, no one was available to assist me and I was told that any help I needed would have to wait until Tuesday AM(Labor day holiday). So I came in early today, purposefully to get the matter resolved and it is 3 hours into the day and there still is no resolve! Every time I call in to check the status I have to talk to a different service person who has no idea what is going on. read more

Nothing short of a nightmare! Problems with: Service Implementation Refusal to allow us to speak to a senior manager Promises made that were not kept Many glitches during set-up Gave us information during sales process that we found is not true Trying to be so cutting edge, to process payroll is 3x's the amount of steps as with ADP or Paychex Reporting is cumbersome Carrier Connection integration doesn't "connect" with most of our vendors Our PTO has been a mess since implementation and have spoke to multiple people - even with our PTO policy in writing, in hand, they still cannot get it right. Have used since November and we are incredibly disappointed. We will continue to search for a platform that works and where service is a priority. We were advised by sales they understood our issues with Paychex because they had many clients come over to them from Paychex. They promised they would be here for us when we needed and would never leave their clients to swim alone.. "If you're having problems, we will be there!" That was the last time we saw them and only spoke twice after that. The last time they had attitude with a "whatever" approach. The system is the absolute worst! MANY, MANY UNNECESARY steps to do simple things! We left Paychex for this! Frankly, it makes Paychex look amazing! If I am ever asked what my biggest regret is, I will say choosing Paylocity! Our company switched to Paylocity last fall. The conversion was incredibly difficult. They aren't ever easy, but it was particularly painful. That was quickly followed by the pain of actually using the software and finding a customer service person who actually knows how to use the software themselves. The conversion team knew the software well. However, the day-to-day support team knows much less. Nine times out of 10 I know more than the customer service person trying to help me. Then there is the reporting. It's a joke. Trying to build your own is nearly impossible and if you need them to write one for you, it comes with a minimum $500 (per report) and 6-8 week lead-time. read more

Our company went to Paylocity back in October. Implementation was sloppy, and that's putting it nicely. I felt we had to babysit them each step of the way. It's now February and we still have things that should have been completed during the implementation process. They were unorganized and you would get different answers depending on who you asked. Customer Service will not go above and beyond. If you ask a question or want clarification, the responses are brief and not helpful. If I could turn back time, knowing what I know, we would have researched more options. As far as the system itself, I'm not impressed at all. Seems harder than it has to be. Supposedly designed by people from other payroll companies however, you would never think that was the case because the process is just more work than it needs to be. We have been a client for more than 10 years and the services have continued to decline over the past 3 years. The go to response when something stops working is "recent update". You would think the programmers would have a better understanding of their system and the clients that use it to avoid simple issues like that. They don't vet enhancements with enough clients to avoid future issues, When I bring up an ongoing issue they suggest I attend their annual client conference which by the way I would pay to attend. We are the client why would I pay to find out something is no longer going to work the way we need it to and there is nothing they can or will do to fix it. read more

We utilized Paylocity as our payroll services provider in January 2014 up to August 25, 2017. The customer service is lacking right from the beginning. I still remember how rude our very first account manager was. We went through several account managers, and none of them seemed to work out except for one, Thomas. Secondly, they have been increasing our rates 4 to 5% each year, without prior notification, by almost double the industry's standard, or so I've been told and by comparing our current contract with one of the leading company in the industry. On top of that, their rate is very unreasonable. We only had the base plus the HR advance features with them, and our new payroll service provider offers all of that with recruiting and performance modules for the same price. We were also given the same quote by another leading company in the industry. For a very long time (more than 3 months), Paylocity was not able to help us with reconciling the payroll reports with their own GL Reports and there were issues with Quickbooks imports from Paylocity. We opened many tickets and called Paylocity numerous times to resolve this. Every time we spoke to them, we would get a standard message from the Support stating that the issue has been escalated and would be fixed soon. We could not get a resolution for more than 3 months. Their inability to resolve the issue resulted in putting more manual hours and delay in closing the books for 2016. This is one of the primary reasons for moving out of Paylocity. In addition to, they were charging us 10$ each week for the GL Quickbooks integration that was giving us inaccurate reports. Finally, we receive a notice from the IRS that they have overreported FUTA by as much as $135,000. They promised to resolve the issue within 30 days, and we have yet to receive any correspondences from them regarding the matter since our meeting on October 13, over 30 days ago. read more
