The Party Store sits right on the Northern county line, making it a the closest option for those in Northern Jonesboro. I recommend this beverage store if you live north of Highland. You'll find a decent selection of popular and local wine as well as most popular spirits, and beer is sold here as well.Oh and they have a drive through too! Three stars because this store could use a bit of a cleanup and facelift.

Mr. T's is surprisingly. . . .surprising! If you live anywhere remotely close to this place on the Arkansas side, definitely worth that drive esp on a Sunday. I'll explain, Arkansas is a delightfully confusing patchwork of wet and dry counties, however even the wet counties don't allow Sunday sales. Enter our neighbor, the State of Missouri. To quote Wikipedia "alcohol laws of Missouri are among the most permissive in the United States. Missouri is known throughout the Midwest for its largely laissez-faire approach to alcohol regulation". Strange neighbors, but a welcome sight. Even better, this isn't some desperation depot of overpriced county line hooch. They carry a wide range of craft beers, high quality wines, Scotch, and top shelf liquors. Apparently they contract with distilleries to offer some award-winning seasonal private label bourbon. Employees are very friendly, helpful and know their stuff in every department. Regularly carry "gift packs" and hard to find items. The line moves quickly, a TJ Maxx style sign alerts you to the next open register to get you out the door. Approved!

Hearing the "I'll have 4 Steel Reserves and a cup of ice" from the window makes me want to throw my keys away and stay off the roads forever in this part of town. But that's the deal, county line stores or nothing. [Facepalm] This is an above-average county line shop with far less price gouging than others I have seen. The craft beer selection is highly respectable. Green Flash, Founders, Ommegang, Oscar Blues, Evil Twin, Clown Shoes, Goose Island, Tallgrass, North Coast, Diamond Bear and many many more! Some available as singles (though it appears you must purchase at least 2 off the "singles" table at once, should be renamed the "doubles" table). Beer gurus here know their stuff and are overjoyed when someone wants something other than a "Flavorless-Light-Ice" product in a 60 pack. They sport a decent wine and spirit selection (though a wee bit short on Scotch). Service is fun and helpful. Impromptu tastings are not uncommon and advice is freely offered. My only criticism, pricing is missing or outdated in the craft beer aisle requiring a price check trip to a register. Approved! (however if Lawrence County ever goes wet, I'm afraid it's over!)

Thanks to a helpful clerk I recently scored a healthy supply of Victory- Dirt Wolf and Golden Monkey on deep deep deep (and I do mean legitimately deep meaningful) clearance!!
