My first time here and I regret it. I dropped off a brand new pair of pants to be hemmed (Tags still on). The woman at the desk pinned them right in front of me. She calls me about 15 minutes later to come back because the pants are ripped. I come back and the pants are ripped on the bottom Where they were supposed to be hemmed. This happened in her care and she acted like they were brought there ripped. Also, shewanted to charge $70 to get a suede jacket cleaned. This place should be called "Pay More Cleaners" instead of payless. I wish I would have read your review before I went there. When I confronted calmly on my issues- the owner started yelling at me in his language at the top of his lungs and proceeded to throw money at me and even followed me out to my car to check my license plate!!! Well I didn't have a horror story like prior reviewers. I also didn't get a 'stand out' cleaning either, but I can see myself coming back here. I brought in my winter coat to remove some salt stains and cat dander before the season starts, and honestly it was a simple job, the coat wasn't wrecked or anything. It's only 3.99 for a coat and I think that's a very fair price; however it does take an average of 3 days for something to get cleaned, so not a terribly great turn around. I also have no clue if they can do next day orders or not. When I got my coat I was glad to see all the stains came out and it smelled fresh. However there was still fur on it, and not fur I'd tracked in, fur under the bag it came wrapped in. Now I don't know too much about he dry cleaning process, but I expect things I get back to be near flawless. Oh well. A very average experience, prices are good at least. read more

They do a decent job pressing / dry cleaning our clothes. You can't beat the prices. Today I came in to have pants shorten. I accidentally dropped $20. *BEWARE OF USING THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES RUINED* I brought in brand new pants to be dry cleaned. I only wore them once. When I brought them in along with my other items the lady looked them over and then I got my ticket, paid & left. Picked them up, got home and noticed the pants had a huge stain on them. I brought them back & was told that I brought them in that way.. There is no way. 1, I only wore them once and 2, I know how they looked when I brought them in and I didn't have a stain. They even looked my clothes over before taking them! If the pants had a huge stain I'm sure they would have asked about it. They just kept telling me that it was my fault and I brought them in like that. Didn't offer me a refund even after ruining my clothes. I will never use this place again. Beware!! read more

I have had nothing but good experiences with Payless. First of all, the prices! Holy cow! $7.96 to get two 2-piece men's suits cleaned and pressed SAME DAY! How do they make money?! The service has also been pretty good. Perhaps I'm only comparing to other dry cleaners (not the Four Seasons or anything) but they've always been helpful on the phone, easy to understand, and willing to work with me on the pickup time. They have gotten me out of a bind many times when I needed to get my suits cleaned same day. As someone who wears a suit to work daily, at one point I was outgrowing some of my suits and down to only two that fit me. Given I have to wear one of them to the office, if I drop off the other, I need to have it back that evening so I can wear it the following day. One of my BIGGEST fears is using a dry cleaner that does not actually clean and press in house and somehow not getting my suit back in time for an important meeting. These guys do clean it on location, can do it same day, and I'm paying less for two suits (same day) than it cost me for a single suit with 3-day turnaround at other places. My biggest issue with these cleaners is that periodically shirt buttons come back broken. After a couple of years of it not happening, it happened again a couple of weeks ago and I brought it to the owner's attention. She didn't seem to care. Anyway, my biggest gripe is I forget to take a pair of suede gloves out of the pockets of an overcoat I had cleaned, and when I got the coat back, the gloves were gone. Moral of the story: If you use these dry cleaners, check the pockets (this is not the only dry cleaner with whom I've had this problem. The one across the street kept one of my ties). read more

I will never return here, lI have been a customer for at least 10 years. I picked up my dress yesterday and it had a large stain down the pocket on the front of the Dress. There was NO stain when I took it there. I returned this morning and was told it would be cleaned by 3pm. When I returned the owner told me it was oil in the dress .. it was worn one time and nothing was spilled on that spot. The owner blamed me and offered No apology, nor any compensation to me for a dress they ruined that cost $150. After giving my dress to get cleaned they call and said do I want them to continue to clean it because the gold chain was stretched out. I said I did not give it that way so you might as well finish cleaning it so I can figure it out after. I sent 6 shirts for dry cleaning to remove stains in the neck and found out they not only didn't dry clean those shirts but instead laundered them. Stains are still there and the manager had the audacity to tell me that these stains would not come out regardless, even though i was told otherwise. There's a sign on the window that says $1.99 one price cleaners cleaned and pressed and when you go in there, they tell you that for zippers and buttons, they charge extra. You don't actually get anything for $1.99 unless it's a T-shirt or a pair of leggings. When I brought this up to the lady at the front, she didn't seem to care and barely answered me. Enter at your own risk. It takes them five days to clean something as well and it cost me $25 to get a one layer dress hemmed. Not such a deal. read more

I have read other reviews and perhaps those people had a bad experience. I have been getting my dress shirts dry cleaned there for years and have never had a problem. $.99 a shirt within less than one week .... at least I can't complain about that. I have also had a few suits dry cleaned there and it was done well and price was great compared to other places. I also had some dress pants let out at the waste ..and the alterations were done well and $10 each is a good price. I never had regular laundry done there so I cannot respond to that. But for what I bring in they have never tried to "Up Sell" me anything! read more

I have used this dry cleaner for years and have been steadily becoming disenchanted by them. At first, I was pleased that they would wash and press mens shirts for only $.99. Then, recently, I have noticed that the woman in front who receives the clothes goes through each shirt and decides that most of the shirts cannot be simply washed and pressed but need "special" attention or need to be dry cleaned. We are talking cotton mens shirts that may have a pattern in the fabric or a pocket in the front. She is making up reasons to up-charge her customers. I know dry cleaners personally and I know that what she is doing is not justifiable in any way. If you use this dry cleaner, pay attention to how your clothes are being sorted and charged. If you can, go somewhere else. read more
