Teachers are amazing and deserve so much more than what they receive. However after the many lice infestations and the school and school board not helping to inspect children or get to the root of the problem I was very disappointed when I was told that it was not their responsibility and that it was the responsibility of the community and if it was such a problem for me then I could either remove my child from the school or solely volunteer to inspect each and every child on my own. read more

Gotsta love late nights with mom! Lesson plans for a day off doing training then next week its back to the ol' grind for mom. Teachers really deserve more credit for all they do and all the hours they put into their jobs. I believe that they are one of the least appreciated workers around. Not only do they teach our children reading, writing, and arithmatic, they are teaching them rules, manners, right from wrong, compassion and empathy for others, and much much more. To all who think they are over paid and not needed, you are sorely mistaken. If you figured what it wld cost you in tutor fees to teach you child, food cost for lunches and snacks, babysitting fees for the hours your child spends away from home and in the care of someone else the cost to pay each teacher hourly for working at theirjobs each and every day as you do- I wld think you wld find you are much happier with them being paid by the state rather than your own pocket. I think you wld be surprised to also find that the amount for the year and time they put in is far less than what the total wld be should you be paing for it all individually. So, the next time you go to pickup your child from school or pass a teacher buying thingss at the store for their classroom out of their own pocket, do remember to thank them for all that they do while your child is entrusted into their care every weekday! read more
