Les Anges Gardiennes - montreal cat care for small animals and mini pets pet sitting

Approved by my fluffy samoyed and his human! Highly recommend!

Never board your dog at Les Anges Gardiennes. They stopped having someone stay with the animals…read moreovernight over a year ago, but didn't tell customers. They just pretend nothing changed. They put the dogs in cages, stacked floor to ceiling, in a tiny room with signs banning entry, so owners don't know how badly their animals are being treated. From the time the daycare closes at 7:00pm until after 7:00am the next morning there is no one there, and the dogs are stuck in little cages for 12+ hours. There is just a camera in the room and who knows if they monitor that. They make a show of putting some cats roaming freely in an office off reception, but they won't show you where they actually stick the dogs who are boarding there: in tiny cages that are off-limits and behind closed doors. I saw the disgusting room because a lovely person in reception told me to avoid boarding there, and showed me the room even though they could have been fired. The people who work in the daycare are fabulous, but the woman who runs the place, Vanessa, is super sweet to your face and takes your money, and then shoves your dog, alone and scared, in a small room and lies to you about someone being there. Oh, also, Vanessa steals tips. The people who work there are so lovely (and you should tip them!!!) but NEVER let Vanessa see you do it, she'll take it for herself, because "they owe her." NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Hopital Veterinaire Journet. When I noticed…read morethat my old lady cat was acting strangely, I packed her and my toddler up and hoofed it over to Journet. The completely bilingual counter staff was kind and courteous, and within 10 minutes we were in an exam room with Dr. Fatihi, who gave Lydia the Kittia a complete look-over. He ran some tests (some in-office, some sent out to the lab), and gave me a thorough explanation of the situation and our options. We went home with some medicine and a big free bag of cat chow, awaiting a call back on test results the next day. For an exam, an ultrasound, urinalysis, blood test, some canned food, some painkillers, and the big bag of cat food, we only paid $260. I was expecting about double, and was grateful it was so affordable. We were heading out of town to visit family over Easter weekend, so I asked at Journet if they did boarding or knew of cat-sitters who could come and feed Lydia her antibiotics twice daily. Dan, at the front desk, said, "oh, you live really close. I can do it." And he did. For free. And even left some extra cans of food and a cat toy for Lydz. That's just incredible. That doesn't happen. But it did at Journet. It's a great clinic, with great facilities, great stock for sale in their boutique, great prices for veterinary services (with an effort not to push the more expensive option, but to give you informed choices), and great staff. If only people doctors in Montreal were this great...

Doggieville is amazing! Such a friendly atmosphere, staff are all super helpful with any questions…read moreregarding any of the services. If it wasnt for Doggieville my Quinn would not have a place to get quality A+ care, socialization & supervision, rather than dog parks. The Facility is amazing, have booked a Facility tour, getting to see the rooms where my boy would spend his nights. The parks look spacious & well kept from pictures/videos shown to me. If you have a dog, & want to know that he/she is well cared for i highly recommend Doggieville!

This place has a lovely aesthetic and offers tons of services…read more I will say if you have a dog that is reactive, unsocial or anxious not to come on the weekend. I walked in for my splash pad reservation, and the restaurant is open which you need to walk through to get to reception. Anyone waiting in line to be seated obviously has their dogs with them, and it makes manoeuvring to get to reception a little difficult. For contacts, I have a nine month old cane Corso, who is unaltered at the moment ( he will be getting fixed closer to 18 months. Don't come for me) but due to his age and everyone safety we are not currently making new Dog friends. he is extremely social well trained, but walking in was definitely difficult to maneuver the tight space to get to reception which is located in the middle of the building. The receptionist Kiarra was extremely pleasant, helpful and informative. The pool area pictures online allude to a very well-maintained pool area. The water had more hair in it than I'm used to in facilities that offer dog pools. Some of the decoration is falling apart on the side and they've got a back corner cluttered with pool accessories for cleaning and what not that should probably be gated off. However this area is tucked away nicely at the back and you have the whole area to yourself. However You're in an area where they can be moving with boarding dogs. So if you are leaving the room to go dry, your dog just behind, there's possibilities that you bump into one of the staff members moving another Dog. This is only problematic if you have a dog that is reactive, nervous or in a situation where you need to keep your dogs in a one on one environment. I would like to state that me keeping my dog in a one on one environment because he's not neutered yet is purely a personal choice for his safety. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was OK, we went on a Saturday where they were serving brunch, and a couple tables remained dirty for an extended period of time as I waited my turn for the pool area. Not the end of the world, however, a dog could jump up and steal some leftover food, as I witnessed two humans with puppies who were very interested in the empty tables with leftover food. Definitely looking forward to going back during the week for hopefully a calmer experience.
