Pawsh continues to exceed expectations, amazing owner and staff. We were having work done on our home which unexpectedly took longer than we had scheduled for our pup to be at Pawsh. Lisa, without hesitation, accepted to care for our pup for a couple of extra days without advanced notice. It saved our girl from the undue stress of having to see strangers in her home and gave us peace of mind knowing she was having the time of her life. read more

Really surprised to read the negative reviews here and thought I should share my experience. We send our dog here for daycare and have boarded him in the past and have been blown away by the level of care and attention they have shown to our very high maintenance pup. They have such a lovely caring staff and you can tell my dog really loves spending my time here. He gets so excited the second we pull up to the house. I would highly recommend them read more

Lisa and her staff treat Oliver like a member of their family. He loves staying there and we can't say enough about the quality of care her receives. All dogs are well screened and loved, and well exercised We regularly recommend it to dog-owner friends, neighbours and people I bump into at the dog park. read more

First stay with Pawsh Oasis Pet Resort will definitely be our last. I had high expectations after doing our initial facility tour and my pups did a trial stay for a day. The staff seemed great with the dogs and the facility, routine and operations. My dogs (3 of them) spent two weeks at Pawsh Oasis and they were a complete disaster when I picked them up. They have never been so dirty in their entire lives - I had to shampoo them three times to get the dirt out. I found ticks on two of them, which had been stuck to them for a while based on their size, all of them had extremely dirty bums and eyes. My one dog had poop caked on his behind, and after I cleaned it up he had a very bad skin irritation/infection underneath. My other dog has a skin irritation/infection around one of is eyes and patches of fur are missing. All of them had really bad matting - most that I needed to cut out. Especially around their faces and behinds - and they do not have high-maintenance fur/grooming practices at home (I rarely need to brush them). I also learned after chatting with the staff that they do not have a limit on how many dogs they take in - they just bring in more staff for more boarders. One of my dogs was muzzled because of supposedly "aggressive tendancies" which has never happened before, but I'd suspect it was due to the high volume of dogs that he was surrounded by most of the day. I travel quite a bit so my dogs have stayed at numerous boarding facilities around Canada and US and I have NEVER experienced this. I just moved to Victoria and this "pet resort" seemed great on the website, but I am extremely disappointed and upset on their condition upon pick up. I typically don't post reviews, but I'd hate for someone else to have the same experience with their fur baby(s). read more

We visited pawsh oasis today with the idea of boarding our Great Pyrenees while we are on vacation First impressions: the property is situated on beautifully landscapes gardens with a nice separate house where the dogs are boarded. When we arrived we were greeted by the owners assistant. She met us and asked us to bring our dog into the main house. Tiko our Pyrenees was quite timid and did not want to enter. She said "common, let's get this over with, I have another appointment and I am without help" - First Red Flag Realizing that our dog was anxious we asked to be let around to be side of the house which leads to a small gravel area . Behind this was a separate fenced area which looked like a nice fenced in play area for the dogs She let a few of the dogs out and we had a meet and greet there. She then brought us in through the side entrance into be main dog care boarding area. As we entered the dogs were barking and the attendant started yelling at them to stop and then at us to quickly leave the area. Our impression of the main house was that it was dimly lit, no apparent air circulation and had an extremely strong smell of urine and faces. It appears that the dogs are only let out once for a morning walk and then one or two more times for short runs in the play area. The dogs are then kept Indoors for the rest of the time. When I asked her why, she responded that these are just the rules and that the neighbors have complained about the barking. The dogs are also not allowed to sleep outdoors. When I said she should not be yelling at us and the dogs, the owner (Lisa) said this is not a good fit and we should leave. In summary, this was one of the dirtiest, unsanitary dog boarding facilities we have seen with staff who were clearly overworked and unprofessional. I would highly not recommend sending your pet here. I am personally happy to discuss my experience with this facility. read more

NEVER BOARD YOUR PET HERE!! This place deserves 0 stars. I trusted Lisa to take care of my beloved cat while I was on holidays for two weeks. BIG MISTAKE. When I returned from my trip, my poor cat's eye was swollen shut and he had lost a significant amount of weight. When I expressed concern about his eye and weight loss, I was told "they didn't notice anything". I'm calling bullshit on that one. If you were taking good care of your animals, you would have noticed. After an emergency trip to the vet, my cat was diagnosed with FELINE HERPES and had lost a total of four pounds in the two weeks he was under their "care". That is 40% of his body weight! What I find even more appalling is the amount of attitude and the complete lack of compassion I have received from Lisa throughout this entire ordeal. She never once offered to reimburse me for my vet bills and has been completely unapologetic and defensive in her response. Do not make the same mistake I did. Save yourself the vet bills and save your pets the trauma. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR FUR BABIES. DO NOT BOARD YOUR PETS HERE read more

Dropped my Woofer off for Thanksgiving, and when I returned I had the happiest dog a man could have. We have boarded our greyhound here a number of times, as long as two to three weeks at a stretch, and always been well satisfied when we returned to our healthy and happy boy. When we described how fussy he is about where he sleeps and next to whom, they gave him his own sleeping area. Nice. He is also getting on in years, and they have had no problem adding recovery formula to his food as per instructions. The pet clients are housed in a separate building with its own fenced and shaded outdoor area, not merely in someone's house (which I have experienced elsewhere), all set on a large and beautiful rural property. I will definitely take our dog to Pawsh Oasis again (actually, tomorrow!), and regularly recommend it to dog-owner friends, neighbours and people I bump into on the street. read more

The location is very beautiful, but the owner doesn't seem to know what she's doing. We had a really good first experience, but the second time we dropped off our dog we were called on day 3 of an intended 10 day trip and told someone needed to pick up our dog in the next 30mins because he was not getting along with the pack and was going to start pack fights - this wasn't a muzzle issue, they were worried the pack was going to attack our dog and couldn't muzzle all the other dogs or separate our dog from the pack. We were over 4000km away at this point with limited resources to get the dog - particularly in such a short time frame. This is not a friend or a neighbour, this is a business - they should know how to deal with these kinds of issues. Maybe you'll have one or two good experiences with pawish, but one day when you're really counting on the fact that someone else is taking care of your furbaby (like when you're getting married back in your hometown, and it's summer so airlines won't fly pets...) you might get a really aggressive and unpleasant call from an unsympathetic owner. read more

My dog Stewart has been coming here for daycare and the occasional overnight stay for about two years now. Lisa and her team always take great care of him! Stew is a rescue from the SPCA and has separation anxiety. He was adopted and returned four times before I took him home. I worried that bringing him to a daycare would trigger that anxiety, but he really loves it here and he's always excited to be dropped off. Lisa takes the dogs on a big pack walk during the day. This isn't a kennel; it's a fully functioning home for your dog! Stew can chill inside or play outside whenever he wants. Stew has the option of sleeping on a dog bed, or curling up in a kennel with his best friend Daphne during nap time. I am a shift worker and Lisa has been very accommodating with my schedule. When you take a tour of the facilities you will be impressed. I have had to bring Stew to other cities with me for work, and I've never seen another daycare like this. Lisa has implemented a very convenient pick-up and drop-off system, where you call when you arrive and a staff member will greet you at the gate and collect your dog. This helps maintain a calm environment inside for all of the other dogs (who don't get to witness the exchange or see/hear any strangers at the door) and prevents any escape attempts! I would definitely recommend Lisa and Pawsh Oasis. read more

We have been bringing our black lab to PAWsh Oasis every Wednesday since she was a little pup. We did tons of research before sending Charlie to any daycare facility as she was only about 4 months old at the time, and I can truly say PAWsh exceeded all of our expectations. I always feel at ease when dropping her off in the mornings as I know she is in the very best care and will have a blast with all of her friends she has made. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and caring, I always hear about Charlie's day and about all of the friends she has made. The facility is clean and has loads of room for the dogs to romp around outside, or lay on the couches by the fire inside.. plus, they get to go on nice long country walks! Charlie can be nervous or distant around people, but ALWAYS looks forward to seeing any of the PAWsh girls - runs straight up to the gate in the mornings, and never wants to leave when I go to pick her up after work! I always recommend them to everyone I know, and highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for an amazing place for you and your dog to both feel comfortable with! read more

I have visited Pawsh with my doodles, Beans and Sweet Pea, and my old kitty wheatoon, since they have opened. The staff have always been amazing and my dogs are happy and tired from playing when they leave; Funny enough they always seem twice as excited when we turn onto Hector Road before a visit which leaves me so relieved to go away and not worry. The facility is large as well as clean and feels as close to home as it gets. I am over the moon knowing that they get walks too!! My cat is an outdoor cat so I did not want to put him in a caged environment; the Pawsh cat rooms are clean and amazing with big windows, chairs and cat trees and the option to open up their space to the other kitties. I have not ever known of such a wonderful 2nd home for much loved pets! :) Pawsh is a blessing for Beans SweetPea, and Wheatoon, not to mention me! read more

Pawsh Oasis has always been our go too and we are extremely happy with them. The staff are very friendly, the dogs all get along, they are always flexible and I love how they are always good with taking my dogs on such short notice. I also really appreciate how Lisa was able to help me out when I got stuck out of town and was not able to pick up my dogs on time. She was so kind enough not to charge me the night and even dropped my dogs off at my house the next morning. Lisa is so amazing and I really appreciate how she went out off her way to help me. Especially since I was rushing to get out of town to pick up the dogs with toddler in tow and everyone knows how difficult it can be to travel with little ones. I am so very thankful and I will continue to bring my dogs here as personally there is no better place. For my dogs it's a home away from home. read more

We have been using Pawsh Oasis for our doodle, Sebastian, since he was a puppy. Where do I start, he loves it. I really cant find any criticism. The dog house (which is literally a full multi roomed house) is fitted out perfectly for comfort and practicality. Kennels are available for those preferring that for sleep, they always have access to outside and then multi times a day the back gate is opened for access to the "back 40" for running around. On top of that they get walked in the beautiful surrounding area every day! Lisa and the staff show they are truly pet lovers and treat them lovingly as their own. I've never been anything but impressed and for our pooch it's like going to camp! Guilt free kenneling! Thank you Pawsh! read more

I was dreading the search...and Victoria has various grooming places, but they are heavily booked most without spaces. I found the perfect place. Booked an appointment. Dear Dog had a bout of bad health which meant she couldn't attend the pre-booked appointment. I just about gave them the right amount of cancellation notice. They were VERY patient with us and understanding. I re-booked a few weeks' later. She was looking pretty shaggy by then. But at least a lot healthier. Our groomer was the lovely Kaylyn. I knew, walking through the door, that this was a good place. Sweet pegs up behind check in with dogs' names being attended to and their leads. Some separate areas (at least one) for dogs older and less sociable. Ours was waiting there for us on pick up. It looked very clean, tidy and welcoming. We felt confident leaving Olive. Returning over 1.5 hours later. What a treat that was. We'd found our dog again! One of the best cuts I've seen for a very long time. She wasn't nervous or upset. It was easy to see that she was relieved to have a lot less hair and to be able to see better. Tail wagging operative! I've re-booked and we'll be back in 5 weeks. 100% recommended. Be patient about their getting back to you (ideally by text). They are a busy shop, but always get there, just may take a few days longer than you'd expect. Worth the wait imo.

He said you have to understand we have only time for so many. They were not busy it was the middle of the day. I will never forget how helpless we felt trying to find aver clinic. Finally the hillside vet helped us. We needed are renewal of prescription all they had to do was call our vet that prescribed it. The guy was condescending and horrible. I left crying as our dog was suffering. I now live here and after that experience I give them a no thumbs up. I would never set foot in there again... I found Kindred Spirits on there and have been very happy ever since. Today was an emotional day for myself and my dog who has anxiety at the vets. She needed to have two lumps checked out with possible removal. Since, she won't stay still long enough to allow a check up we needed to sedate and put her out. The staff and the vet were so wonderful during this, allowing me to be with her almost every step of the way. I decided to make the trip up with my puppy and I am so glad that I did. First of all the care and time they took to make sure that she had her harness fitted properly really impressed me. While more expensive than the average harness, they can't be making much or any money on them, when they take this much time to do it. What also impressed me was their training facility. They have a huge space set up, with separate entrances for reactive dogs. It was clean and exceptionally well appointed. I was so impressed by everything to do with these guys, that I have signed up for training there with my pup. We will make the hour or so journey, because it is just worth it.
