We have been taking our pups here for 15 years now. The dogs get personal care from a person who…read moreknows and loves them.

Brought my dog there for her first ever trip to a doggy daycare for 1/2 a day. I dropped her off…read moreby leaving her in a kennel and picking her up in a kennel, so I've never personally met who was taking care of her. When I picked her up, I expected her to be glad to see me and tired out. Instead, she was whimpering and lying on the ground and I noticed her collar was no longer on her. I called and let them know she was missing her collar and they weren't even aware that she had one on. When I got her home, I found a large wound on her side. I emailed a picture of the wound to the Groom Room and they called me (and were very nice) and said it looked to be a hot spot and gave me directions on how to care for it. The wound kept getting worse and I could tell my dog was experiencing pain and anxiety, so I took her into Lee's in Hawley and they confirmed it was a dog bite that had gotten infected. They had to put her under to clean it up and stitch her wound up, then she was put on antibiotic and anxiety meds ($367.08 later). When I emailed the Groom Room with an update and their response was that they are not comfortable with my dog coming back there. They stopped responding to me. I am not sure what type of supervision they have going on, but apparently there isn't much. They advertise that it is a safe place for pets, apparently not. They had no idea where her collar was, no idea my dog was bit, etc. Also, it is typical to tell the person whose dog bit another dog that they can't come back....but not the dog that was bit. I asked them for the owners name of the dog that bit her, but they couldn't respond. In my opinion, this is an unprofessional business owner who is too busy doing grooming services inside the house to even have a clue as to what is going on with the animals in their care.

I cannot express how thankful I am for this place. My cat Lucky was in really bad shape and I could…read morenot tell what was wrong with her. I was up with her all night, the only thing I could tell was that she had a broken leg but it seemed like there was more going on. I called around and no other vet could see me. Luckily another vet recommendedCareVet (I had not heard of them) and I called desperately hoping they could see us. They were able to get us in thank god, and they even saw us early as I was there waiting out in the parking lot. Dr. Shomen and her assistant were so kind as I was a wreck. Sadly it turns out that Lucky got injured by the garage door and there was internal damage and there was no other choice but to end her pain. I thank CareVet for being able to help Lucky in her time of need to ease her suffering. It means so much to me. To top it all off, they sent me a nice card where everyone wrote a little note of condolence. Highly recommend this clinic.

I personally had taken my dogs there for almost 10 years. They are no longer the vet that cares. No more emergency vet. No more bringing your dog in for care because you told them you might look elsewhere. They'll just drop you for no reason. Absolutely garbage business. Such a shame to see it go down this way.
