Although I bring my fur babies to Princess Anne Vet for issues, this is THE place for vaccinations. They're organized, sweet, and soooo much cheaper. Handling my angry Chihuahua is no easy feat and the manage it with a smile. I'm very grateful they're here so that I can spend the money I save spoiling my fur babies. Magnolia may look sweet but she's a holy terror;)

Very busy but it's for a reason. They are very efficient and you can't beat the price.

A strong word of warning about Dr. Ashley Powell and Animal Medical Center:…read more We took our dog in for an emergent but common procedure. He was diagnosed quickly and surgery was recommended (to be performed by Dr. Koegel). Hours go by with no updates so I called to find out what was going on. Dr. Ashley Powell (the co-owner of the practice) got on the phone to tell me our dog died during surgery and Dr. Koegel was upset so she sent her home. Dr. Powell gave an - we don't really know what happened the procedure itself went great he just didn't do well - explanation of what happened. We went in to say goodbye and during our second post-surgical interaction she said the same thing - no clear explanation of what happened. My husband and I are both in medicine and knew something was off here. On our THIRD conversation after demanding to know what transpired during the procedure step by step (and demanding to speak to the lead surgeon Dr. Koegel) we learned that Dr Koegel mistakenly cut into our dogs diaphragm and called Dr. Powell into the room to help stabilize him while Dr. Koegel attempted to suture the laceration. This unforced surgical error was what killed our dog (admitted by all parties in our 4th conversation). What is more disturbing to me than a mistake happening during a procedure is the lack of professionalism, transparency and ethics by Dr. Koegel and Dr. Powell at every step. Dr. Powell runs the practice and found it reasonable to send Dr Koegel home instead of doing the ethical thing of facing the family and explaining what happened and taking that responsibility. Most importantly, Dr. Powell was not honest during the first two conversations about what happened during the procedure even though she was in the room. Medical professionals have a solemn obligation to conduct themselves with integrity even in the tough moments and Drs. Powell & Koegel lack that fidelity. We can't accept the idea of something like this happening to another family so please reconsider your vet care - Dr. Powell also co-owns Ally Urgent Medical Care off North Great Neck Rd in addition to co-owning Animal Medical Center. Dr. Koegel has since left AMC.

I've been bringing my…read morepup here for about 8 years, and they've taken amazing care of him every step of the way. Earlier this year, Keat had to have surgery to remove a mast cell tumor ... a super stressful and scary situation for any pet parent. The entire team did everything they could to make both of us feel comfortable and cared for. They explained everything clearly, checked in constantly, and were just as invested in his recovery as we were. His regular checkups and yearly exams are always smooth and efficient. The staff and vets are friendly, gentle, and keep Keat calm, even when he's a little nervous. We also stopped by just this week for a quick tech appointment and shots, and we were in and out in about 15 minutes ... can't ask for better than that. Whether it's something routine or a serious issue, I've always felt like I was in great hands here. So grateful to have a vet team I can trust with my pup's care. Highly recommend them!

All I had to do was to ask her if she wanted to go see Dr. Baker. That beautiful head would perk up and she would run to the door. When there she greeted everyone, including walking behind the reception desk for personal attention and belly scratches. She especially loved Amanda, who always was always happy to see Lillie's name on the board. The office and pharmacy staff are always responsive to my texts for prescription refills for all my fur babies. And they have shown such love and care after the loss of my Lillie. Dr. Baker also took wonderful care of Eason, my sweet petite golden girl before Lillie. And before that Dr. Morris took care of Georgia. Thank you to all for being the wonderful practice and people that you are. There's a special place in heaven for those who love and care for our fur children.

I just moved to the area and like to find vets who specialize in cats only. I believe the care that…read more"cat only" veterinaries provide is better than a traditional vet that accepts all animals. Let me explain what I enjoyed about this practice: - they had calming music (classical) playing throughout the office which immediately calmed my two cats. - there was feliway in every room of the vet! ***** FIVE stars just for that! Upon entering my cats immediately stopped meowing and were calm because we have feliway diffusers at our home too. - the veterinarian was very nice and so was her vet tech. The veterinarian was very knowledgeable. She took her time with both of my cats examinations. I felt listened to. She heard all of my concerns and addressed each one individually. I felt that she spent enough time with me and with my cats. A very pleasant experience. - the exam rooms were very cosy. They encouraged me to open up my carrier and let my kitties roam if they so pleased. There were little perches on the walls and good hiding spots to help my kitties feel safe, as well. - one of my cats had to get 2 vaccines which the vet tech & doctor performed effortlessly. He didn't even flinch! This office was a little bit of a drive for me but worth it for the care that I received. I would recommend this office to any bougie cat moms who want the best for their babies!

If you make an appointment, expect to wait at least 40 minutes until after your appointment time for your cat to actually be seen. Even with an early morning appointment, which you would expect to not have any delays, you will still be waiting no less than 40 minutes. They require you to make appointments to pick up medication, which seems wildly ridiculous to me to begin with, and even for those appointments I have never waited less than 20 minutes to pick up medication. The first time I picked up meds at this place there was another woman waiting with her child and two cats, and I overheard her saying to her daughter that they had been there for almost 3 hours!! For a standard checkup! If you have all the time in the world then this may be the place for you, but unfortunately, as a person who has other places to be and other people to consider, I'm not sure that this will be the best long-term option for me and my two cats. Hopefully they can improve on this as it seems like a pretty easy issue to rectify, all they need to do is honor their actual appointment times.
