I…read moreordered a very expensive and hard to find handgun off of Gunbroker, and had it shipped to Pawn Plus on Robert's Ave. It has already been paid for, just has to, by federal law, be transferred by a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). I contacted them Saturday in person to let them know the firearm was being shipped there and have them call me when it comes in. No problems. Today,02-20-2023, firearm was delivered by FedEx at 12:48 PM. At 2:34 PM an employee called and advised my firearm had arrived. I advised I would be there soon and he mentioned that I would need a handgun purchase permit or concealed carry permit. I advised him I had my law enforcement credentials and he said ok. I get to Pawn Plus and start filling out the ATF Form 4473 and give them my NC ID and Law Enforcement ID which meets all the requirements of state and federal statutes. They then inform me they will not sell it to me without either of the two permits.I them inform him of the fact that per NC statute Law Enforcement officers are exempt from being required to have a purchase permit or concealed carry permit. He said I would have to produce something to prove that. So I did. I showed him the actual general statute plainly stating that. He also looked it up on his computer and acknowledged that I am in fact exempt and then said that they still would not transfer MY firearm to me without a permit. NCGS 14-404. Well my grandmother has been waiting MONTHS for a purchase permit. According to the Sheriff's Office there is a backlog not on their end, but from the mental health agency that does the new required mental background checks. Also why would I pay the cost of a Concealed carry permit when I am exempt by NC law from needing one, and with my credentials carry a handgun in a broader scope than a CCH can? NCGS 14-269. I requested they transfer MY property to another local FFL dealer and they refuse. They advised they will only ship it all the way back to the dealer I ordered it from in Walker, Minnesota. I would strongly advise you to not do business with these folks as obviously the law doesn't matter to them, nor does customer service. ATF agent has been contacted and they are going to look into this issue in the morning. Complaint has been filed through BBB and if my propertyisn't lawfully transferred to me or lawfully transferred to another FFL dealerto be lawfully trnsferred to me, civil litigation may follow.Oh, also their FFL transfer fees are not as listed on Gunbroker's FFL transfer network Pawn Plus is on. I was told the FFL transfer fee is $50.00. It's advertised as being $15.00 on Gunbroker. Seems like false advertising to me. I don't even care though about the $50.00. Just give me my gun that has already been paid for or transfer it to another dealer so I can have it transferred to me. I am in compliance with all state and federal law requirements. They have zero right whatsoever to not transfer my property to another FFL holder. When this issue is resolved, I will NEVER do business with them again. Total lack of respect for the law, and total disregard for customer service!

I've been in a fire school all week. Tuesday I went in and looked at a gun and was very interested in it. The employee told me $450 or I could put on layaway for $45. I said I would be back Friday when I finished class and returning home. Didn't want to take the gun in the hotel or leave in the truck all week and risk it being stolen. It is in Lumberton. Returned Friday and asked the employee what his absolute bottom dollar was and he said that was the price that was on it $519. I said the other guy who was there told me $450. He started to laugh and asked the other guy did he say that. Well he laughed and said no. Pretty much laughed in my face like I was trying to swindle them In front of the other customers. Told him I had no reason to lie about it. Whole time, the owner was standing there like a wooden figurine to the side knowing I was getting upset and never said a word. must be scared of his own employees. To me Pawn South...we'll they're crap and a bunch a punks and took my business elsewhere. Bought the same gun for the same price that originally was told by these degenerative and guessing dementia plagued twerps. I'm glad now cause the gun I got had no scratches etc. Thank you Bryant's. He obviously suffers from a shortage of patience but if you ask me maybe he's experiencing a shortage somewhere else too. Perhaps with his impulse control and obviously his manners. I'll never go back. I hope nobody else does. There are too many gun stores around to deal with rude people like him. Bet his mom's proud. Oh and his guns are high.
