By far the worst psychiatrist I have ever dealt with in 30 years and the receptionist is going to…read morebe responsible for someone's death. I waited 7 mths for an appt. He has absolutely no people skills and seems to be only in it for the money. He doesn't listen he is not caring. At my second appt he said he doesn't know how to help me and to see him when he returns from his five week holiday in Europe with his wife Yvonne the receptionist. No one was put in his place while he was away which in this field is a huge negligence. His wife is rude, unkind and abrupt. The two of them working together makes foe a really odd practice. I have ADHD and he said he won't treat ADHD I need to go elsewhere. He also won't treat acute patients who are unwell but works for the only private mental hospital on the coast. I frustration I was emailed todsy being told to see how I go with therapy (which hasn't helped) and adhd meds. That no further appts will be made and he will not orgabise admission which I badly need to go to the public hospital (which is why I have private health and a public hospital will not help me. If he read my notes he would know that.

I only say this out of genuine concern for others who may make the same mistake of putting their trust in this despicable man. He and his spiteful wife run a shoddy practice from a dark basement like setting that sets the tone. Yvonne the receptionist/wife is a malicious woman that had to make a nasty comment each and every time I waited. Commenting on why I looked nervous or worried. Enjoying the result I reflected. Obviously I'm there for mental health reasons, there was no need for any feigned surprise in my anxiety. She liked to comment on my asthma and breathing, going so far as to say I would die like her father, of lung disease, as she recognised the sound. A nasty woman. Impossible to discuss anything with, as her arrogance was so entitled. She constantly played games and was careless and purposefully unprofessional. Any comment or question would have her speaking over you, yelling or hanging up the phone. She could not discuss any issue in a calm or professional manner. Cash is well named as profit is his only concern. He presents as a bored headmaster. His first sentence to me was that his job was only to liaise between myself and WorkCover. He had no interest in helping me with my health. In fact, without doubt, seeing this disgraceful man caused a significant deterioration in my health. I had to manage his contradicting reports, his narcissistic carelessness, deception and manipulation. He only ever showed an interest in me when I refused to pay him for an unethical and undisclosed cost. He would ask for payments in hindsight, rather than discuss circumstances honestly in session. He and his appalling receptionist took my concerns as a personal insult to their arrogant expectation of unquestionable authority. He tried to extort money from a vulnerable client. Telling me he thought I understood that with his help (not paid by WorkCover) I would get his experienced assistance to enable a DSP - without it I would not. He never had any interest in my health. It was all about ticking boxes, profit and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders, who are not simply disposable and temporary sources of income like clients. His ego could not tolerate being questioned. As my concerns were accurate and noted by other professionals, Cash set out to destroy my reputation. When I reminded the aggressive receptionist that Cash had a legal obligation to pass on my file without having to pay for another unwanted appointment, as I tried to simply leave this terrible practice - she screamed at me and slammed the phone down! At no point did I ever use profanity or raise my voice. I simply pointed out the obvious lack of ethical care. I had previously asked for my file in writing three times, but this was ignored. Reports were often contradictory and misleading. Cash was offended that I even dared to comment. So in retribution he informed other psychiatrists that I was aggressive and should be avoided. If this was a genuine concern, then a duty of care to the client and community should enable appropriate support - not sabotage and block help. He is a spiteful little man with an over inflated and fragile ego. He got everything wrong and provided contradicting and false reports - and that is before he focused on discrediting me in defence of his appalling work and attitude. His reputation is well known amongst peers and former clients who's health has suffered due to this careless man's focus on money, while ignoring the needs of vulnerable people seeking genuine help. Only more problems and disappointment wait in that dark basement. Avoid at all costs! Without prejudice I share my unfortunate experience.
