While remodeling a trailer for our customer we had a problem with her furnace. We were informed…read morethat this company was the one that installed it and that it was under warranty so we gave them a call. First visit was because the furnace would not stay running. The man came in and at first he was nice said that it was throwing a code he had never seen before so he needed to call his boss. Came back changed out a blown fuse furnace worked for a couple days and then began to act up again. We call back and for an entire day we were unable to contact because it said the number was not in service. When we finally were able to get through we were not given a time that the technician would arrive after multiple times of asking. He showed up sometime the next morning and of course we didn't have the door unlocked because well we didn't know what time he was going to be there we aren't just going to leave our customers doors unlocked for no reason. We got a call at 9 am that he was there we missed the call so we called back and the technician was rude and said well I'm in Burlington now so we asked when they would be able to come back they responded with 6 am the next morning no problem we had the door open for them. He claimed the furnace was fixed. We went over the next day to find the thermostat hanging by its wires out of the furnace itself not even put on the wall. It is dangling in front of the fresh air intake and the thermostat is registering a temperature of 99 degrees and it is extremely hot hot inside. We attempted to turn down the thermostat and even just switch it off using the thermostat neither of which worked. The only way to get the furnace to shut off was to turn it off via the main breaker box. When we finally get the unit shut off the unit is making a pinging noise which told us the unit was extremely hot. We tried cycling the power and turned the breaker back on and instantly the furnace turned back on and started to heat the house again and the thermostat would not allow us to shut it down. The tech said that the thermostat wire in the wall was messed up and a new wire needed to be ran for it to work properly. I don't understand why he couldn't run said wire as the tech but he didn't. Anyway we shut it back down via the main breaker and let it cool off. We open the furnace panel to find screws and wire nuts just laying inside the furnace. And the wire that he did put in was wired incorrectly causing it to never shut off as well as having the thermostat sitting in front of the air intake which left it with a cool breeze constantly going over it. Not to mention he didn't even have the courtesy to lock the door when he left. This technician is lazy, rude, and incompetent. Had we not showed up to check the furnace the trailer could have caught fire amongst other things. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Tom did some quick preliminary troubleshooting through Facebook before coming to my house within 15…read moreminutes of my request. He had my furnace up and running within another 15 minutes. Could have tried talking me into a $300+ replacement part but instead repaired it and gave me good advice. Quick fix, polite and very reasonably priced! I'd highly recommend Your Heat and Air Guy!

I have an old home that I have been remodeling and needed an electrician for several quirky…read moreelectrical problems - a porch light replacement, a bathroom vent/light replacement, a basement light replacement and a really tricky dead connection to the over-the-stove microwave. I called Generations and they sent Tom out to my house right away. He had the microwave fixed in no time (I'd been trying to track that down off-and-on for... a while). He also diagnosed the problem with the porch light - it turns out that the brand-new motion sensing light I had put on last fall had a defective sensor, so the light wouldn't turn on. I had also picked up the wrong type of fixture for the basement light, and I hadn't purchased the bathroom vent/light yet at that point, because I wanted to ask first how big of a project it was going to be first. After talking over what I needed with Tom, I picked up a new porch light, bathroom vent/light, and basement light the next day, and once again, Tom came right over to finish the projects. Honestly, I thought I might pay a premium for hiring a company with that responsive of a service, but when I got the bill, I was happily surprised with a very reasonable bill. Overall, I'm totally satisfied with the service I received from Generations Electric. They were fast to respond and fixed everything I needed to have fixed quickly, and at a fair price. Tom was a total professional and a pleasure to work with. They will definitely be my first call next time I need an electrician.
