I have been a patient of Dr. Chon for almost a decade. I feel that he and his team protect my teeth as if they are theirs. I really appreciate how thorough they all are with cleanings and procedures, and that they can solve most issues (even difficult ones) immediately with tools and technology in the office. I have always appreciated this dental practice, but even more so today. I chipped my front tooth in a sports accident, and I immediately called Dr. Chon's office. I'm so grateful that they told me to come straight there and fixed it on the spot. I was pretty upset, and they were all so patient, kind and reassuring. Within 2 hours, my tooth was back to normal and is beautiful. SO AMAZING THAT THEY FOUND TIME TO HELP ME IMMEDIATELY!! And with compassion. I highly recommend my dentist Dr. Paul Chon and his staff. Dr. Chon is a highly skilled dentist with a gentle hand. I have had several back surgeries & at times going to the dentist can be challenging. Dr. Chon makes sure I am comfortable and ok while Im in his chair. He checks in with me to make sure I'm not uncomfortable. My last visit he gave me a heating pad to lean against while his staff played my favorite music while I got my teeth cleaned. I love that I can communicate through text to set up appointments and that they've been able to accommodate me for Saturday appointments being I live over an hour away. I'm very picky and so is my friend so I was confident this would be a great dental office. Well, I was not let down! Please do not waste your time or money on this dentist ! He cracked my tooth and caused me to loose it ! He over charged me and my Insurance many times . He says you need one procedure then it turns out to be another and another which adds up to more money each time . I trusted my teeth with a man that ruined them ! I left there w a tooth lost and an abscess and now another tooth that was told it was just a filling and now once again it is not the case ! Please take my review into consideration ! I am not worried or concerned about his rebuttal I'm sure it will be filed with excuses like always ! I just went to another dentist and was told a lot of the work I had done was not necessary! I am so glad I found Dr. Chon. This is one of the best dental experience I have ever had. My friends recommended me to Dr. Chon. They are not wrong! I inquired about wisdom teeth extraction, which have bothered me for years. My previous dentist politely declined the extraction, as the position of my teeth were sideways. My experience here has been absolutely pleasant. From getting quotes, coming in for consultation, to the work performed, everything has been great from start to finish. I absolutely love how Dr. Chon tries his best to communicate with you, letting you know upfront of what exactly he is going to do to your teeth. He will make you a clear plan of everything you need, including price and plan of actions that you will need to take. The day before the extraction, I was preparing myself for a few days without being able to eat anything. My wife bought me smoothies, soft foods, anything she thought I could eat as she has done this in the past as well. Well, fast forward, the day of the extraction. I don't quite know how he does this, but I didn't feel any major pain. It is now day 4, post extraction, I have followed everything he said (rinse 3 times a day, I took the antibiotics on time, I can't drink through a straw, etc), and I HAVE NOT felt any pain at all since I got out of his office. I did feel a little discomfort, but I wouldn't even call it pain. Later that night, I was already able to eat something soft, and now, it feels like nothing's ever happened (of course I still can't eat anything hard since I still have stitches on both sides). Me and my family have been going to Dr. Chon since 2015 and we couldn't be more satisfied! Dr. Chon is a gentle and empathetic dentist. He always checks that we are doing OK when undergoing treatment and he is good about explaining what the procedure is. Dr. Chon is amazing! I just went in for a root canal procedure and was very nervous. Dr. Chon provided his reassurance that the pain was going to be minimal and he also explained his next steps throughout the process. I felt like I was going over to my favorite cousin's house, not to the dentist! Every little detail made the experience not only bearable (I used to hate the dentist!) but pleasant. I hate the drilling sound - but they play your favorite music over it! I hate the numbing injection - but they tap your shoulder to distract you (it works!). I've been a patient of Dr. Chon since my 2007 move to the OC. It's always hard to establish new medical relationships, but my sister's recommendation was spot on. There are many positives about this family business: - I especially enjoy the atmosphere of a small, 'comfy' office - I am not just a faceless patient - with the treatment advantages of 'corporate dentistry.' - Dr. Chon is dedicated to having the most current equipment, procedures, and training. He utilizes the best to be sure his patients are well-taken-care-of both in prevention (e.g., fluoride treatments and oral cancer screening) and in procedures (e.g., microsurgery, in-house ceramic restorations, and sedation.) - The office has always been spotless, but Covid-19 procedures have enhanced safety with increased separation of treatment areas, intensive sanitation of rooms and equipment, and (of course) masking and social distancing. - Terry Chon (at the front desk) is wonderful to work with, and she'll assist with appointments, billing, payment plans, and their in-house dental care management plan.
