Thee Glenferna is soon to become one of the historical houses at Maleny Historical Society premises. I have witnessed much improvement at this historical house since I started taking photos of it a year ago. Today I am interviewing important people from this restoration team. There is a room in this house set up as a schoolroom of days gone past, a replica of the first post office in Maleny. Glenferna will be open to public in 2019 and you will be able to join a tour to see this historic place.

Well, that is until you realise that this…read moreship was actually built before federation, so at the time all of the colonies were basically individual entities, which means that Queensland would have had a navy. That also means that this ship is actually a pretty old ship, but if you looked at it you would also realise, pretty quickly actually, that it no longer works. That is because it has since been scuttled and now sits just off shore as a reef from sealife. Still, it is somewhat interesting finding out about the history of this ship, even though getting to it can be quite a pain.

This is sort of another one of those terminus stations, not not for every train since a number of…read morethem do continue on through to the north, particularly the ones that go all the way up the coast. In fact, this is one of the major stopping points for this the trains that pass through here, and the station certainly does show that. Also, it happens to be located in the middle of town, or it could just be that the town was built around the station - who knows. Still, it is a pretty good station, and fully serviced as well.
