On of the best pubs I have ever been in. They have a huge selection of beers on tap. They also have a great food selection between American and Irish foods. One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Hostess seated party behind us in line before us. Featured beer was flat. Waitress forgot what my drink order was. Meal was served with no silvereare. After 10 minutes, I had to get my own. Special salad with avocado and Bleue cheese came with neither. Horrible Experience!!!! If you want to feel like a ghost this is your spot. I was ignored from the moment I walked in the door. I wanted a table and the place had plenty but the wait staff ignored me. I decided to seat myself at the bar where I was ignored by the bartenders. I finally was able to order a drink and a steak sandwich. The drink was more alcohol then mixer. And the sandwich tasted old and reheated. I would have ordered some more drinks but the woman behind the bar. Was to busy ignoring me and talking to the same person she was when I walked in. I thought maybe it was her boyfriend?? The owner of this place needs to clean house and get better staff. I know they lost money with me that I would have spent if I felt welcomed and comfortable. I have been very happy at both lunch and dinner with the kitchen! They have 27 different beers, and I have tried 7 so far! Service excellent, atmosphere mellow, unless it is karaoke night! Shepard and cottage pies outstanding, the spinach artichoke dip in Guinness is to die for, French onion soup second to none and have yet to select an item off their menu that was anything but excellent! Pleasantly surprised. I had the shepherd's pie which was pretty good. We sampled the spinach dip and the Reuben egg rolls. Both delicious and filling. One person had a shrimp pasta bowl which she enjoyed. The service was prompt and pleasant. The deck is nice and being able to park one's boat is a big plus. It is a bit pricey, but.... I'll be back. Not sure where the previous bad reviews came from. I've been coming here regularly for almost a year and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Definitely my favorite local pub and our go to spot. Not only is the staff here helpful, pleasant and attentive but the food is delicious and the lakefront view is lovely. Always have good entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. The best wings!! Patrick's Pub recently opened. I have been a customer of their liquor store forever, so I had to give the pub a try. Great atmosphere. Staff is great and the lakeside location is beautiful. ...I can't wait for summer to enjoy dinner and cocktails on the deck. I have not been for the live entertainment yet, but I was speaking to another customer at the bar who said the talent they have brought in is really quite good. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to going back. Prices were right, our portions were generous, and the location wasn't too far off the highway that it would be a great place to stop after work!! read more

My Girlfriend and I ate at Patrick's this Saturday 9/26 and had a delightful experience. The waitress' were all very sweet and welcoming. After a reviewing the menu (and a few cocktails) we were stuck between the Reuben egg rolls and the Irish nachos. The waitress recommended the Egg rolls and she was absolutely correct. They were awesome and and we almost ordered a second helping :). As an entree we ordered the Shepherds Pie and Fish and Chips . The best part about having a girlfriend is that you get to have two meals every time you go out to dinner. My Shepherds pie was glorious and hit the spot, but her fish and chips was the best i have ever had- Crispy and melts in your mouth. Even though we live about 45 min west of this location this Irish pub has been put on our top ten places to eat list. read more

been there a whole bunch of times over the past couple of years, alone and with wife and friends, and really like the place; simple food, but good, like fish and chips, steaks, meat pies and great burgers, too! It has a real Irish atmosphere, especially with the barkeep with his authentic Irish brogue, and the people that go there, including me, are relatively civil, considering it's an Irish Pup :) I like sitting on the deck, overlooking the lake, beautiful and relaxing, and don't forget the music on weekends, great bands. We love this place! Have been here probably about a dozen times and it has never disappointed! Food is great! Love the specials that are always changing. The prices are great and love sitting on the deck enjoying the view of the lake! In response to Tim who left one star. It is NOT upscale prices. This is the cheapest water front place I've ever been. The best thing about this restaurant is the view. We went on a warm Saturday night and sat on the deck. My boyfriend ordered a cider and I ordered a glass of cab. The wine was warm. I think it was because the glass must have just come out of the dishwasher. Regardless, it didn't taste great. The food that we ordered took forever to come out and was average. I went here when I was visiting over the summer and I loved it. I went back every night. The food was delicious. The first night I ordered the cottage pie and it was yummy, my boyfriend has the burger. Mad juicy and tasted so good. The next night I had the surf and Turf. Everything was cooked to perfection. They had live music when I was there. A really great atmosphere. The staff were so nice, easy to talk to. Got chatting to one of the owners and he was so lovely. Came with my family for dinner during the summer. Placed our orders and waited. We kept waiting for our food for about an hour and a half. When we finally got it, the food was stone cold. I got a cheesesteak and it had long strands of brown hair. We try sending it back, but they said they did not see it and they're not taking it back. I would not suggest this place. read more

I would give it zero stars if possible, went on to check it out as it is a new neighborhood place. Was not busy at all, there was no one to greet us when we walked in, nor was there a bartender or waitress to be found. My husband and I sat at the bar and he went to use the restroom, when he came back he was surprised to find out that NO ONE still came over to acknowledge us. A woman did come out of the kitchen on her cell phone like 5 minutes later looked and saw no one attending the bar and proceeded to sit at a nearby table and finish her call. I asked a fellow patron who needed a refill if there was a bartender and he joked with me about this being a honor place and I should help myself and to him a beer while I was up.. I laughed back and waited a few more minutes, at this point 2 waitresses came out of the kitchen and overheard me asking if there was a bartender but I did not get a response or did a bartender show up. My husband and I left to go somewhere else with better service. I cannot tell you about the food as we were never even offered a menu or drink, but I have heard from several places that it is over priced and just average food, kind of greasy and totally overpriced beers. read more

Have been here quite a few times and the staff is always beyond friendly and the food is AWESOME! Clean with great service. Food is good, but menu needs to be expanded to more home style meals as in Meat Loaf with mashed, Pot roast, etc. (Pub Food vs. Restaurant). Perhaps some soft piped in Irish music vs. the pop I heard. We were not offered any breads - a small complimentary basket of Irish soda bread w hit the spot and enhance the charm. I went here not long after they opened for dinner and then again for a drink. Food was ok but pricey. We got the reuben egg roll app and it was a very very small portion for the price. Tasty but small. My mother got the fish and chips and it was literally all batter. She said something about it to the waitress, she told the chef and they made new fish which was much better but why send out the first fish if you could have done it better? I get that they do everything homemade but it's not fantastic enough to charge as much as they do. Both times the place was not poppin. Maybe I'll return in the warmer weather to sit outside and hope their food has gotten better or cheaper. read more

Food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. Was able to enjoy beers and food on the deck overlooking the lake. When we were there (my girlfriend and I), they had a live band inside that at one point had the whole bar singing along. This is a great place to be if you want to catch a game with some buddies or for a sit down dinner with family. Will definitely be returning again for the Corn Beef Reuben! Would recommend anyone with a boat to take advantage of the dock parking as well! read more

First and last thing I noticed was an overwhelming smell of bathroom deodorant. Kinda like urinal cakes...turned me off for sure. Food was good, the outside deck was great, server was over worked and seemed exhausted. She was nice enough but couldn't be nice or attentive because she was spread so thin. I will NEVER pay $75 for food in this place again, especially for 2 people. It would behoove the owners to get in touch with their clientele...that is a ton of money for 2 dinners and 2 drinks, even for a steak. It was cooked well and tasty, but way too much fat on it for $27. I've been a chef for years so it's a bit tough to get that one past me. My wife enjoyed the atmosphere but I really hope that the management takes these reviews seriously as I would love to have a place to keep coming back to because it's inviting, creative and friendly. I'm willing to try again, but basics like bathroom odors and friendly servers will KILL a new restaurant. Good luck guys, you are gonna need it. read more

I wanted to like Patrick's because it has a great location and is convenient to get something to eat when we are on the lake. First, the good news, food wasn't bad, the draft beer selection was surprisingly good, and the prices are very reasonable. They have redone the inside and it shows. Now the bad news, service was not good. Waiter came by twice telling us it was going to be awhile and that he would bring bread; bread finally came after our dinner was served. He said he was sorry but they were warming it for us except that it came at room temperature. They ran out of mashed potatoes so no Shepard's Pie, which is what I really wanted. When they brought my wife's fish and chips they didn't bring the cole slaw, which she really likes; they told us they were out?? How do you run out of cole slaw? Overall it took us almost 90 minutes for two people to eat and I had a sandwich and a salad read more

This was our 2nd time to Patricks, the first time they had just recently opened so we decided wait a bit and try it again to see if they had got their act together, well they haven't !! I ordered a burger medium, it was obviously a burger that was frozen solid that they threw on the griddle, raw in the middle, hard all around the outside rim,. Hard to screw up a basic burger but they did, the hubby had a salad with grilled shrimp, the shrimp were cold. Ok service, but they didn't seem to care if I ate the food or not and didn't care that my burger was a mess. When I told the waitress she just said Ok and gave us our bill. They are never going to make it with the summer boating crowd, limited menu except for irish fare, but really who is going to want to eat shepherds pie in the middle of summer ? Pricey also for the boating luncheon crowd, will be surprised if they last their first summer. Hope they revamp their menu and good a better cook ! read more

I moved to the area about a year ago and have been going to Patrick's a couple times a week since. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. I highly recommend the Cauliflower wings! This was our first time at this restaurant since it has become Patrick's and I'm so glad we decided to give it a try! They have Corona light, Bud Light and Bud on tap how could you go wrong? We ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer and they were really good. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips and said they might have been the best fish and chips he's ever had in his life since he was a kid... I ended up getting a cheeseburger for dinner with fries it was absolutely delicious one of the best burgers I've had at a pub in a long time! Seems easy enough to not screw up wings and a burger but unfortunately we try out a new restaurant every Saturday and Sunday and find plenty of people that managed to screw them up but not here... They were delicious!! Our bartender was Adrian and he couldn't have been nicer!! We don't live too far from the area so we're excited to be returning especially since summer is approaching... Well my friend and I decided to try something new. Went to Patrick's pub in lake Hopatcong. I had checked on FB for the menu before going. It looked very nice, a good variety with some tasty looking entrees. Well, this was one big mistake! This is quite possibly the worse food I have ever had the misfortune to eat. The service was pitiful! I ordered their special of the day( well one of them) Prime rib, yum! Wrong!!! Med rare please, it was gray, no juicy yummy part for me, the mashed potatoes were very cold in center. We saw our waitress once!! I finally got her attention. Asked for water an another drink. Finally got that when we were pretty much done! I told her an showed her how bad the food was, her response was I will take care of it. NOPE that didn't happen either. I made sure I told hostess on way out how awful their food, service, and overall entire experience was disgraceful. Don't waste your money. This place might be good for a quick drink on a boat ride, other than that 5 thumbs down!!! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Have been here before & the food was good. Had a fabulous burger that I raved about to Mom who's up from Florida..So last night we go by boat to have one of those fab burgers. Well not so fab. 3 people, 1 side salad with crab/avocado dip & 2 burger, 1 rare the other medium rare. About 15 minutes later the salad comes, 25 minutes later the rest. Bother burgers over cooked to medium. Track down waitress, I lost my appetite & we had them do another for Mom, a few minutes later her burger comes back over cooked AGAIN.. The waitress starts to dig into the burger looking for rare meat I said "are you kidding me, don't bother"..... Check please.... I had to track her down both times because she never came by to see if everything was ok... This all took 90 minutes, I'd hate to see how long it would take if it was really busy!!!! Went to Patrick's Pub in Hopatcong the other night with the wife. Huge mistake.. Where to begin Glass in the parking lot , smoking by the front door ( not good for somebody that has breathing problems ) , hostess texting on the phone ( had to go over & asked anywhere to sit or do you seat us we were sat she went back to her phone.. ) , the menus come upscale prices not up scale restaurant & I do mean upscale for the area, the only cheap thing fish & chips ( not in the mood for that ) , needles to say there was nothing on the menus that I could have do to a medical problem.. To me just a regular bar.. The selling point was the deck ( thunderstorm that evening could not sit out there ) Think it was the bartender came over asked us for drinks unsure if we were going to stay by that point.. Made up excuse walked out.. Parking is another problem very tight in or out.. If the rating went lower that is what I would give.. If I am impressed am impressed If I am not impresses then that is what it is.. No in between.. The decore is nothing that impressive..
