Mind = blown! I've never met a dentist that was more excited to meet me? The whole staff treats you like FAMILY! What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, free cookies! It's a trick so you'll get cavities and come back (joking). Jokes aside, the teeth cleaning process is super thorough and accommodating! I usually hate the dentist cause my jaw locks out and when they heard, they made sure to take every precaution to make me feel comfortable! They were also super transparent on the procedure, costs associated, etc. could not have asked for a better office for my dental needs!

    Gifts from my first visit.

This practice places profits before the well being of their clients. I have never felt so heartbroken and scammed from a dental office as I have from Patrick Yoshikane's dental practice. I'll start with the good before going into the bad. I really enjoyed talking to his dental technicians and office staff. For the most part, everyone was incredibly friendly and made a good effort to get to know me as a person. They even provide goodie bags for first time visitors (as shown in the picture I uploaded). However, as pleasant of a first experience I had, the bad significantly outweighed the good. Here's how my experience went from great to horrible: - I called Dr. Yoshikane's office to ask to see if they covered my insurance. I was told yes, they did. I provided them with my insurance information and booked my appointment. - Dr. Yoshikane requires new patients to make 2 visits. The first is an x-ray & a consultation. The 2nd is the actual cleaning. - During my consultation, Dr. Yoshikane pointed out a handful of issues. Some were cavities and another was a recommendation for a crown cap (almost like a crown molding). I was quoted an estimated amount of ~$200-300 out of pocket for the whole procedure. - I came in for the procedure and as I was ON THE CHAIR (already set up with my bib and everything) the billing administrator came and told me I was OUT OF NETWORK and that the procedure will be more anticipated - I was already on the chair and agreed. To my surprise, the end cost was $3,000+ I was so upset with myself that I didn't check more thoroughly, but I felt that this practice should have been more transparent about my insurance coverage. Either his staff is incredibly incompetent or their staff was aware of the situation and chose to "scam" their patient for additional funds. I had gone to their office a total of 3 times before I even found out I was out of network. Had I had gone to a dental office in network, I would have paid a fraction of the cost (Dr. Yoshikane's office also only does porcelain fillings which is more costly). I have learned that some dental offices are more about making a quick buck than being honest with potential clients. Because of Dr. Yoshikane, I will never trust that dentists think in the best interest of their patients ever again.

Welcome gift from the office (cookies) and chapstick they used on me during the appointment because my lips were a little dry.

My teeth still hurt after going 10-15 times in after a few cavities. It's been months and still have pain but it's whatever.

Walking and interacting with Mr Rosales and all his amazing staff was truly an amazing experience. I've never felt so comfortable and impressed by professionalism in an environment like this before. They truly changed my mind when it comes to oral care and it generally feels like they're always looking out for me and see me as an individual and not just a random nameless patient Please I really insist anyone who's had a tough time with other Dentist in the past to please give them a shot. I guaranteed they are so worth it and this is coming from a person who usually does not do yup reviews, but they generally have helped me so much.

Short version? This is the dentist office you have been looking for. They are welcoming, treat you…read morelike family, and the cleanings/procedures are pain free. They tell you everything before you pay for services. No pressure. Long version? I think it's really hard to find a dentist that you genuinly like or love. I had been searching for a dentist closer to home as I had previously commuted to Diamond Bar and Fullerton. Both places, my cleanings would be a "feels like forever" uncomfortable process- my body tense and just holding my breath during sensitive sections. After reading all the reviews, I decided to try this office out. As soon as I walked in, I am greeted by name, not "what's your name?" The person who walked me into the room made me feel comfortable as I told her about all my anxiety about the dentist. At this point, I hadn't seen the dentist in a year and was overdue on cleanings. After baseline xrays and photos were taken, Dr. Rosales explained everything thoroughly. He explained the xrays and what he saw and explained why I had sensitivity issues not just that its a common thing to have snesitivities to hot/cold. Dr. Rosales also explained the plan moving forward and what he thought would be best to get on track. Before any treatment were rendured, I was explained the cost and wasn't pressured into anything I didn't feel comfortable doing. Even when I told Dr. that I was told I was due for a deep cleaning, he said he would check xrays to ensure that was needed. The deep cleaning could wait. (Yess!!) Fast forward to my cleaning appt. I'm a hot mess, anxious, but the team ensured I would be fine. The dental hygenist (amy?) was so chill and made me feel more at ease. It wasn't the typical "sit here, open your mouth"... we talked and she distracted me. She placed numbing medication all around my gums and I didn't feel anything. I got so emotional. The first time ever in my life, I wasn't holding my breath, gripping my hands, or sweating during a teeth cleaning. This right here, has changed everything. This is the dentist for life. They make you feel so welcomed, like family, not just another person/chart to have cleaning or procedures. You can tell, they all love what they do, and really care for you as a person... thank you soooo much. I have already told 2 or 3 people about this place!!

I had the honor of being treated / am still under the care of Dr. Farzin for an implant. Unfortunately, as it does happen, my last molar was a root canal & the crown broke off. The person who did it for me years ago wasn't in the field anymore (or didn't want to take responsibility, consider it a bullet dodged) so Dr. Hanna had me seen by Dr. Farzin. Together he came up with a treatment plan for me which included extracting the tooth. Now, that was an ordeal for me because I'm a Nervous Natalie, but he is efficient & thorough in how he works. Yes, extractions aren't exactly fun, but it was not a long or drawn out procedure & I healed well. Fast forward to a few weeks ago where it was time to put in the post for my new tooth. This included a special scan so that he can study & create a method that is precise & quick. I was really impressed at how quickly the procedure was, & yes, although I worried, it was really for nothing. While we wait for healing & for the actual new tooth to be installed, I am currently healing well & will return for a routine x-ray to check on how it's settling in. I really think that Dr. Farzin deserves a special place here within my reviews. For anyone who is nervous with dental things, you're really in good hands at this office with the entire staff.

I was a patient here for several years before ultimately deciding to move to a far better dental office due to what I felt was consistently inadequate and, at times, disrespectful care. Over a year after I stopped receiving treatment here, I suddenly received a bill in the mail claiming I had an outstanding balance. This immediately raised a red flag because I have always paid my balance in full at the end of every visit. When I called to ask about it, the staff member I spoke with told me it was likely a discrepancy related to their transition to a new billing system and that many patients had received incorrect balances. I was explicitly told not to worry about it and to ignore any additional notices while they worked with their financial team to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, that reassurance turned out to be completely meaningless. Over the course of the following year, I called at least seven separate times regarding the same bill. Every single time I was told some version of the same thing: "Don't worry about it, the balance isn't accurate, please disregard it." Not once during those many calls did anyone take ownership of the issue or resolve it properly. Then, out of nowhere, I received a letter stating that my account had been sent to collections for the exact balance I had repeatedly been told to ignore. When I called Gentle Dental to ask how something like this could possibly happen after a year of being reassured that the bill was incorrect, I was told they would "look into it" and get back to me. Today I received that call, only to be told that the balance is apparently legitimate and that I now need to deal with the collections agency myself. Let that sink in: after over a year of being told to ignore the bill, and after multiple phone calls seeking clarification, they somehow missed this every single time and allowed it to escalate to collections. This level of disorganization and negligence is staggering. A dental office should be able to manage something as basic as billing accuracy and patient communication. Instead, they repeatedly dismissed the issue, provided incorrect information, and ultimately pushed the consequences onto the patient. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation was completely avoidable. Had anyone taken the time to properly review the account and resolve the discrepancy when I first called, none of this would have happened. If this is how they handle billing and patient concerns, I strongly encourage others to think twice before trusting this office with their care.
