Stage Left Productions - New intimate venue at 5930 West Greenway Road Suite 1A, Glendale AZ 85306

Stage Left Productions

I previously reached out to Stage Left Productions months ago regarding tickets to a different show…read moreand never received a response. I let that go at the time, assuming it was an isolated issue. Unfortunately, I am now having a similar and even more concerning experience. I recently purchased tickets for an upcoming production and only discovered that the company is listed as "temporarily closed" when I visited the website to confirm the address. No notification was ever sent to inform ticket holders that the production would no longer be taking place. Since learning this, I have reached out multiple times to request information about when I would receive a refund for my ticket. To date, I have received no response. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is extremely disappointing. Customers should not have to actively investigate whether a paid event is still happening, nor should they be left without responses regarding refunds for canceled productions.

I really enjoyed "Grand Horizons" with its well written dialogue and the perfect casting. Layers of each character peeled away as more and more was revealed about them, and I gained a deeper understanding of each. My "loyalty" to certain characters kept shifting which made it interesting and just like life and its complexities. Much success in your new home Stage Left!

It's a small intimate theater for live entertainment and a small crew and cast. They have matinee shows and some evenings. We recently went on a Sunday to see "The 12 days of Christmas" which is the story of a couple who have been together for 12 years and after he doesn't propose and she breaks up with him she kindly gives him 12 Days to win her back. We love love love live shows that are imaginative and heartwarming and hope to see more in the future. They also offer an unlimited pass for all the shows they do should you want to give a gift to someone. Support the arts and live theater!

The story is every nerd's greatest glory on a stage, and touches the soul of the struggle of LGBTQ identities. Only $20, but worth so much more. Go, and be moved! The theatre itself is a wonderful addition to the Downtown Glendale scene! And what a great lineup of shows they have on their calendar. As a lifetime resident of Glendale but a first time visitor to Brelby, I can say that I feel such a stronger kinship with our scenic downtown from this experience; thank you Brelby Theatre Company!

I've been to the Torch Theatre twice to see my friends perform. The venue is nice and clean. The…read moretheatre itself has a large stage and several rows of seating, probably enough space for 20-30 people. Admission is affordable and you feel like you're supporting a good thing. The actors are passionate about what they do and even in the audience, it's a pleasure to be a part of the fun. The improve shows had several groups doing 15-minute sets and I liked all of the skits. I've never been, but apparently the Torch Theatre offers free improv classes every month. I think it's the first Saturday of every month. I have been thinking about going to a class, but haven't made it yet. The Torch Theatre has limited parking in front, but lots of space behind the building. The lightrail is very close if you don't feel like driving. Across the street is Hula's, a great spot for a snack, dinner, or just drinks.

It's a small intimate theater maybe seats 25 at most. You (the audience) get to choose from newspaper articles they leave out. For my article I chose the "smoke free apartment communities are trending". Not an easy topic and of course one scene went to another wherever the topics took them to. They were easily able to wrap them at the end and tie them into a nice rounded show. Really enjoyed it and while only a one hour show wouldn't hesitate to go back again. It's funny where the mind can take a subject, and entertaining as well. That's improv at its finest!

Luckily we did CYT in San Diego and loved it we were thrilled to see there was a CYT in Arizona! The classes are amazing and the shows are unparalleled! The kids get to do shows at Mesa Arts Center which is so incredible all the kids feel like professionals. It's a must see event! Volunteering is the most rewarding part of CYT for me. You get to interact with the kids and families on a whole other level. I met so many incredible people that have now become like family and it's just the most incredible feeling. Both my daughters have said they've never felt more at home or accepted for who they are. They just adore everyone at CYT and have built incredible friendships and built their confidence up beyond belief.

The acting, singing, dancing, costumes, sets, staging, lights, sound and the venue all make up an award winning theatrical experience. After about a month or two, I was getting the wildest compliments during lessons "you're going to be a star" and "embrace the fame thats coming your way" "you are about to be on TV" I didn't understand what was going on or even what this TV show was. I was humble and didn't want to ask questions. Before one of the showcases, I was even supposed to have a private meeting with one of her "producers" to record. After long, I realized the same eager crowd that showed up at these "producer showcases" to perform & impress were mostly the same ones coming to lessons. I was told things like "you'll have album in three years" and because of her connections with music stars.....maybe even a collab with Carrie Underwood. There was also *tremendous* pressure to come online and leave a 5-star review. I felt uneasy that things which seemed private and confidential about other students were shared during lessons. I also realized that she seemed to share things about me that I wish she wouldn't have. I wish that I would have walked away when I got to the point I was at...and never got involved with her "showcases" and her producers. I wish I would have trusted the bad feeling in my gut about all of it. It felt like mind games, with the wild promises, and the producers, and how they never talked to me directly about what was going on. I would be ashamed to talk like this to my voice students, and Mr. Riggs probably wouldn't approve of this business modality either. Now, I am trying to find myself again after the grief this has caused in my life. Which is far more than can be fit in this review.
