Due to the holiday and the latter hour, a lot of restaurants were shutting down. Saw a recommendation on here for this place and made a call. They were closing in less than an hour but told be to bring my party in. We were immediately sat . Our server Boni attended us and made great recommendations. I'll post some pages form the menu because the choices were vast.and adventurous. If you're in town, please check it out. Right by the town square. The staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming. Great attentive service. Didn't have room for dessert and they also had a breakfast menu.

Also split and shared: - Sopa de Lima, a regional chicken and lime soup. Loved this! It was a light, brothy dish, and felt very nourishing. Delicious. Also tried adding some of the fresh salsas (as suggested). - Enchiladas Mole Negro. I'm glad I tried this one! Made me feel like I've never actually had authentic mole in my life. This was really rich, with complex flavor. Was sweet as well, and savory. - Tacos Cochinita Pibil. Yummy! Loved this with the salsas as well. Which, by the way, were refilled! A friend got the grasshopper appetizer as well which turned out to be a pretty sizeable plate full. So we all got to try that as well! Not bad not bad. Not quite what I was expecting, but I was happy to try it! (I thought they'd be salty and crunchy; actually they were softer and tasted a bit tea like. Leisurely and relaxed dining. Nice drinks too. I asked one of the taqueros who works there what the name of the place was, to which he responded, in Spanish of course, "I think it's Los Gueros, or something like that'. These are probably the best tacos along Paseo de Amsterdam/Ave. Chabacano in this area of town, and are best known by its unofficial name 'los tacos del Oxxo de Tejeda', or maybe that's just the name my friends and I give it because of its location (between a Michoacana and an Oxxo), and their carefree attitude towards the administrative side of the business. It seems that they're just there to sell tacos, and they do an excellent job doing just that. Their taco options include suadero, cabeza, longaniza, and bistec, but where they truly excel at is in their tripa and al pastor tacos. The tripa is amazing, crispy and not too fatty, with an awesome nutty flavor that makes your mouth water and keep ordering tacos even after you're full. It's hard to find good pastor in Querétaro, but they do a pretty good job of keeping their trompo on point, and their seasoning balanced. Their other options aren't bad either, but not as good as the tripa and the al pastor. Their salsas could also use more seasoning, as they don't seem to add much to the tacos except spiciness, which a good salsa does, but it also enriches the taco. They also have quesadillas and gringas, which are not far from the ordinary I hear. Awesome place to try; very full at nights, even on weekdays, so plan to come early or get in line inside the taqueria. Just a testament to how good these tacos are!

The pickled jalapeños and carrots that are served on each table are so delicious and the jalapeños have such a nice kick to complement this dish. I also ordered the hibiscus juice, which honestly has such a large serving and is a must here! The place does get crowded at around 7pm with a line, especially since there are not that many seats. This is easily one of the best taquerias in Cuernavaca…read more I just came back after spending a month in Cuernavaca, Mexico. I was lucky to stay only a few blocks away from La Gringa 3. We probably ate here twice a week. Needless to say, we tried many things in the menu. It never disappointed. No matter how complex our order, they got it right every time. Tacos al pastor are the ones you have to try when in Mexico. La Gringa has some of the best. You can also get a Ginga, which is a round quesadilla with Al Pastor. My favorite, though, is the Alambre. Get the traditional one with ham, bacon, onions. You won't regret it. We tried Tortas, potatoes, quesadillas, tacos de bisteck, arrachera, and other dishes. Everything was super tasty and incredibly cheap. La gringa has delivery, and you can also order to go. By the way, we were here late at night a few times (10pm+) and felt safe. I would still recommend eating earlier just to be super safe.
