It's weird to me how much of the stuff was from the 80's and 90's and not nearly as old as you usually see. There was also a lot of new, like new stuff. The staff were nice. There are a lot of high-quality items and well-curated collections. Prices are on the higher side for many items, but they're also legit antiques and not just musty things that someone cleared out of their mom's basement. Our favorite stand had a ton of old photos, greeting cards, post cards, and magazine clippings. The vintage Valentines were a hoot, and it was fun seeing different slices of history all in one spot. The staff at the counter were kind and it probably took us 30 or so minutes to make a loop through all the booths, including browsing through the boxes of cards.

The process of picking out the carpet and getting things initially set up was great. The people…read morethat came to install the carpet did a great job. The problem came with the set up timing of installation and final communication with the sales person. We ended up have to take three days off of work. The first date that was set, we got a call the morning of that they couldn't find the carpet. The second day scheduled, they only had one carpet (we had two rooms planned) and didn't tell us right away. The initial discount we were given was 3%. I called to see if there was anything they could do since we had to take 2 additional days off work. Didn't hear back so called again after a week and was told by the sales person they forgot to call me back and they sent a new invoice with an additional $60 off. That is still less than 6% of our total bill. When I brought that up over the phone, I was told there was nothing they could do since the carpet was back ordered. I explained there was something they could do - check the inventory and communicate with the client sooner. The salesperson then proceeded to talk over me. I told him I would not be recommending this store.

Being suckers for these types of places, which there are many in Wisconsin, we decided to stop on our road-trip up north. Yes there is a real business here that sells hardware, trailers, doors and windows - which we did browse but the main attraction is the outside space that is filled with endless statues, sculptures, kitschy displays, old advertisements, giant animals, scrap art, etc. You have to see it to believe it. If you like this type of Americana do drive out of your way to experience this attraction. Also do take a spin through the hardware store - this is no Home Depot!

I only gave 4 stars because there were a couple of questions he could not answer at the time that I thought may have been helpful to know. There is another older gentlemen on site that knew everything about the dock systems (went back for another 8 ft section the next day), and he was super helpful. Any way, the dock system was the best priced around by at least $2,000 and it is high quality and very easy to put together. I would go buy another dock system here if I needed one. Great value for the money for sure!!!
