The associated Charlie's café and bar located in the same old and beautiful building makes it easy to meet up a couple of hours before or after a movie to do some catching up (awing or ohing at the movie is also an option). The salons are fresh and big and the staff usually pleasant. Coming from Sweden I could never approve of the slim candy selection at any cinemas outside of Sweden's wide range but it's always fresh and actually I'm getting used to it. And oh, the salty popcorn is the best (but for my life I cannot understand sweet popcorn?). Husband and I usually are alone at this cinema (or so it feels anyway) which is a plus, it feels like a nice and quite building making it a full on pleasant experience. And oh! Best thing that happened to me is the Pathé unlimited, giving up 20 euros a month and I can hit the cinemas as often as I want, great!

Why do I buy an unlimited gold subscription, only to have to buy a ticket (same seat) or miss the 00:00 Avengers Endgame movie (after waiting a week due to sold out tickets)? My 6 days old account blocked? Just because my picture is not right? Ok, I can understand that. Yet, if one of your employees takes the picture and approves this, who am I to argue? I just re-use the picture that is on the account over and over again. If you would've given me a notification before I went to the movies I could've came early and fix it. Standing in line whilst hearing loudly that my account is blocked, as if I did not pay my bills, is not my cup of tea. My 6 days old account blocked? Yet, you can still collect the subscription fee from my account? I have an unlimited gold account, but still have to pay for a ticket? You are sorry (and understanding) for the situation, but still do not want to give me my money back? I am already paying you monthly. Oh, you are willing to give me a buffet voucher? Cinerama Filmtheater is the oldest running cinema in Rotterdam and has the grandeur of those days way back. Plush red velvet all over, proper popcorn and a well equipped bar. A lovely place to enjoy a few refreshments before entering that dim and sparsely lit room. A big plus is the regular events they organise with local partners. Beer&Burgers, Eye Tunes, Ladies nights and Night of Cinerama, to name but a few. The selection of movies is quite eclectic, blockbusters and art house pictures mixed with a few odd choices. Be sure to see what's on every now and then. I've also heard they host some great parties during the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Don't mention the snogging. My favourite thing about this movie theatre was the selection of drinks and snacks that were available. I'm used to the Pathé where the most exciting thing on offer is a bottle of Grolsch, but at Wolff they have actual spirits and wine and you can even get a glass of port to take into the movie with you! The coffee is freshly made with a real espresso machine, not a push button automaat. You also get served in real glasses that you take into the theatre with you, and the arms between the chairs a large and wooden to act as mini tables. Quite honestly, it's worth a repeat visit just for this! Otherwise it's a pretty run of the mill cinema - multiple screens, good variety of showtimes. It's an independent chain so in addition to the big commercial releases they also show much more smaller independent films.

This area is also getting nicer with the Woodstone Pizza next door and a few other bars popping up close by. If you're ready for a night out, that should be a good combo. I have even heard they have events there and Wednesday seems to be ladies night, whatever that may entail.

We got to see four fraud themed movies that day. Some theater rooms were small and these rooms probably can accommodate 50 people. But, room #1 was huge and this room also had booth section seating. The basement area had the coat check and restrooms. I think this movie theater has other events throughout the year besides being a regular movie theater for most of part. The location for the Pathé is great and it's accessible by metro and tram.
