The summer camps are a little pricey but I think was worth it, because the kids not only get to cook and eat good food but they also went home with their own apron, knife, and digital recipe book! My daughter now has more passion and confidence to cook independently. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience working with Blue Ribbon Cooking. They catered my wedding and every step of…read morethe process was exceptional. Everyone we dealt with there was friendly and kind. They were very understanding of any of our concerns and requests. We originally went to an open house they were holding so between that and the tasting we had with our contract, we got to try a variety of their food and it was far better than the food we had at other caterers we were considering. They also took all our guests' food allergies and restrictions seriously (unlike another caterer we visited who offered us a "vegan caesar salad" that was made with anchovies...). Also we chose the option to hire our day-of coordinator through Blue Ribbon and working with David Short was a dream. He got our unconventional wedding concept from the beginning and was excited about it and happy to collaborate with us on it or talk through ideas. He was very supportive at every turn and such a kind and calming presence on the actual wedding day. He tried wherever possible to take stress off of us. He let us drop off decor and things to him in the days before the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry about how to get it there. When I realized we hadn't put any thought into the decorations for the ceremony itself he came up with a lovely design repurposing lanterns and greenery we we had gotten for the tables later in the evening. And he brought us a variety of appetizers for me and my spouse so we'd have something to eat after the ceremony while we were signing the paperwork. I would highly recommend Blue Ribbon Cooking for any event. We will definitely be reaching out if we're planning future big events.

Also wanted to point out that this glowing review is very similar to NINETEEN 5-6 star reviews that yelp has withheld bc of their algorithms... That is their right of course but maybe they should speak with a person because SOMETIMES people are that great. ____ We took a team building event and REALLY enjoyed it! I have a few photos which I can post but the space is excellent and Deb was a terrific host! We had about 15 people and together cooked about 6 courses which were all off the charts and from scratch, AND all finished at relatively the same time! very impressive for a 90% group of men with average culinary experience... I made the risotta milanese, we also had pan roasted spare ribs, minestrone alla milanee, patate mesce (basil and onion mashed potats), chicken with sage and olive truffles, insalata di prosciutto e aceto balsamico, and topped it off with Tiramisu! We brought our own beverages and they provided some big time spreads to snack on... Olive, hummus, salmon that were all very flavorful, it was tough to stop eating because we had such a serious meal on the way! Excited to return!

Sarah enthusiastically rose to the challenge and helped plan 3 weeks of delicious meals for my folks' specific situation, including our criteria of virtually all freezer meals with minimal effort *and* delicious! She planned everything meticulously down to the order of the grocery lists, orchestration of meal prep sessions & cooking tips over video conference, and instructions for serving. I can't express enough what a huge weight has been lifted with Sarah's help, and the peace of mind being able to provide for my folks as they age in place. I consider Sarah a very important part of my folks' "care team"! I've had a couple weeks doing this on my own now with what I've learned, and thanks to Sarah's guidance I've developed a "meal prep mindset" - I'm doubling recipes, using ingredients for multiple meals, using up what I already have, and the bonus is that I'm able to now meal prep for myself and my folks at the same time with great success. The more I practice, the easier it becomes. I would highly recommend Sarah's service if you're needing extra help with organizing meals for yourself, aging family, sick friends, new parents, etc.!

I'm 29, a single guy, work full time and lead a pretty active lifestyle outside of my job. With that came a tendency to eat out constantly, because it was more convenient. It was expensive, but it was easy so all was still good. COVID happened and now I work from home, and with regular activities not available to us, delivery and sitting on my butt became the norm. With it, my weight went up, and my bank account went down at a much more rapid pace. I enjoy a well cooked meal, but I did not enjoy the process it takes to make one, and quite honestly figuring out a good meal plan that would help me lose weight and spend less money seemed overwhelming. Sarah took all the overwhelm out of it by designing the meal plans from top to bottom. Grocery lists, cooking instructions, the type of containers to use. She detailed it all out and made it easy. In the month and a half I've worked with her, I've lost weight, saved money, and have a plan that is sustainable for me moving forward. Win, win, win. Work with Sarah, you won't regret it.

We drank Champagne and watched her work, French music playing in the background. She is very personable and fun to be around. She is VERY French, only having been in the US for about 4 years. She uses fresh, organic, locally sourced ingredients. The food was simple and elegant without being pretentious. She is very accommodating to food sensitivities and desires. I am a vegetarian, so she didn't include meat in any of the dishes, since ours was a small intimate party. There were many options to choose from. We had; Veggie's veloute (Crème de carotte au gingembre et fromage de chèvre fouetté [Ginger and carrot veloute] - Crème de choux fleur au cumin et fromage de chèvre [cauliflower with cumin and goat cheese]; bruschetta a l'huile d'olive et à l'ail [Garlic bruschetta]; Salade de tomates cerises aux herbes, basilic et vinaigrette à la mangue [Tomato salad with herbs, basil and mango vinegar]; Filament de courgettes grillées au parmesan et a l'huile de truffe [grilled parmesan Zuchinis with Truffle oil]; and Perail fondant sur zeste de vinaigre balsamic [Perail Cheese with a zest of balsamic vinegar]. The presentation was lovely, complete with garnishes and the flavors were great. The meal concluded with a chocolate truffle torte. Beatrice used the items in my kitchen to prepare the meal, but can bring her own if that is what you prefer. She makes your kitchen, her kitchen. She cleans as she goes so there is never an out of control mess in the kitchen and cleans up like she was never there in the first place. She has many ways of handling the "experience". She can come completely prepped and cook at your place or it can even be a cooking class where the prep is interactive, totally your choice. She can choose or recommend wine for you. The options are unlimited. She will work with you to come up with the perfect plan for your event. I highly recommend Beatrice. It was a fun, interesting and very French evening.

I'll start off by sharing a positive experience I had at The Studio Seattle, which was getting to…read morelearn from Hailey Henderson. Hailey is as excellent of an instructor as she is an actor. She clearly loves teaching and is incredibly knowledgeable about acting theory and applications. Hailey has high expectations for her learners and is also deeply compassionate, a perfect combination for creating an effective learning environment. I am immensely grateful to have been able to learn with her. Hailey is the primary instructor for The Studio Seattle, whereas Andrew Tsao is the artistic director and founder. Andrew was going to cover the last several weeks of classes in my Acting Foundations 2 class series, and prior to this he co-taught a class with Hailey. In this class, Andrew had us participate in exercises where we would be improvising interactions with a scene partner. These scenes were meant to be highly realistic- we were playing ourselves and had similar relationships to each other as we do in real life. Our objectives and given circumstances were given to us individually, without our scene partner's (or the class's) knowledge. In one scene, Andrew had one of our male classmates play the role of a sexual predator towards not one, but two of our classmates. When his scene partner responded to his unwanted advances authentically, by attempting to distract the perpetrator and leave, Andrew told her that she was responding incorrectly and that should/would in fact "fight". He also told her that her "avoidance" would be a hindrance to her as an actor. In another scene, part of the given circumstances was that one of my classmates had had an abortion. I followed up with Andrew expressing my concern that not one, but two extremely sensitive topics, particularly for women, were chosen for these exercises. I stated that that the nature of the exercises required us to be ourselves, thereby increasing the level of sensitivity and creating a high potentiality for trauma/re-traumatization. I acknowledged that while actors do work with difficult content, we get to choose and consent to this, which was not an option in this situation (since we did not know our scene partner's backgrounds or objectives). I stated my expectation that content will be more thoughtfully chosen for these exercises moving forward and that learners be made more fully aware of their options. Andrew's initial response acknowledged that he could have been more thoughtful in ensuring everyone was aware that they could opt out of the exercises. He did not address my concerns over the nature of the content itself, other than implying that more experienced actors would have been fine with the content (I have since heard from multiple other acting instructors that this is not at all the case). I responded by saying that I appreciated his effort to improve transparency around opting out of exercises moving forward. I again stated my concern over the content itself, particularly as it relates to women, and expressed skepticism that more experienced actors would have been fine with the content. Overall, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. Andrew responded by disinviting me to continue attending classes at The Studio Seattle. Based on my experience, I'm of the opinion that Andrew Tsao is not interested in feedback as it relates to the safety of his students, particularly women. For this reason, I would caution any woman/female person against taking classes at The Studio Seattle.

Thank you, Andrew for creating a welcoming, enriching, and intensive space in Seattle.
