There are many elegant places to eat while you are in Santa Cruz, they have beautiful ambiance, the whole deal, however most to all of them have a really bad menu. And the food is never worth the inflated price. This is why I also go to El Panificadora while I'm on a weekend adventure outside of Santiago. The have sandwiches, salads, a menu of the day (which always includes mashed potatoes!), and some of the most amazing pizza and ice cream ever. Their pizza is made in a real stove oven and the dough is just perfect. They also serve coffee drinks, beer, soda and wine to drink. Their service is always really fast and even when they are full they somehow can always accommodate one more.
