Even if you are on the European side, take the ferry and try out this local favorite! Turkish coffee differs from convention in the preparation method. The result is a concentrated coffee that is almost as strong as Italian espresso but with more grainy taste from the ground, and I believe Fazil Bey does this well with the ground from their excellent home-roasted beans. The aroma from the coffee in Fazil Bey is an undeniable testament of the quality! Each cup is about 7 TL and includes a piece of the delicious lokum (Turkish delight) from the terrific Sekerci shop. When you find yourself in the Asian side of Istanbul, definitely try this epitome of Turkish coffee!
