Great food! Only open 2 days a week though, their main business is next door where they sell brisket to commercial outlets. The food is very similar to Pacific Seas restaurant located in Salt Lake City. They were out of a couple of items like desserts, but everything else was available even after the big mad rush. Not of a big fan of nitrite infested corned beef for health related issues. Most companies use it as a preservative and has a very strong salty flavor. I love the natural taste of meats and avoid nitrites/nitrates and MSG as much as possible. Off my soapbox. Anyway the lamb curry was full of mostly meat and very little potatoes and had a delicate balance of curry flavor that didn't overpower it, the lupulu made with coconut milk and taro leaves was excellent and so creamy, the turkey tails had a nice bbq flavor to them, the chop suey was made with glass noodles and was great, the Oka which is raw fish and cooked shrimp in coconut milk was great. The dessert was called puligi (A Samoan creation) and was made with a custard and a spiced cake. Perfect way to end a great meal! Can't wait to return and try the other 2 desserts. read more

This place was amazing! I've heard about their corned beef from so many people and we decided to try it out for ourselves today. I've never had smoked corned beef (fasi povi) but the flavor/texture was amazing! Sooo good and worth the drive to have some bomb corned beef! Their staff is friendly and efficient and even came around to ask how the food was afterwards. Their Apple otai was also very refreshing and tasty! Would definitely come back again. read more

I have been following this establishment since day one! Local and near by me. They had some up and downs with their recipes. So a couple of suggestions and they hit the nail! The food is so good. Lately I have been disappointed in the past year because when I would stop by, the place would be closed, even after looking up their business hours. I would get there early before they would open and see other guest doing the same. As we all waited in our vehicle for them to open. Time passed after there hours of service and no one showed up. As I see other cars leave I finally left too, feeling very disappointed. This happend several times. I live close by so stopping by to check was no big deal. Following them on line I see that their catering business is "thriving" so I'm not sure if this is a restaurant or a catering business. They let us know when their catering business was full and sometimes when they were going to be open. Well even some of the days they were "supposed to be open" No one showed up and doors were locked. This would follow later in the evening with apologizes. Maybe when you know your not going to open; Post something then? The food prices are bit higher then similar establishment but the food was good and worth the wait. We went there on a Sunday, @1pm because their Yelp hours show 11:30 - 4pm on Thursday - Sunday. We drove all the way out there to BFE and they're CLOSED! This is a late review because I ate there a couple weeks ago and I don't know.. I heard about this place from a few people so I had to make the trip and try it. I was really not impressed. I called my order in on my way there and the woman that ordered my food was pretty rude. I get it, you're busy but I'm spending a lot of money on a plate lunch... customer service goes a long way. Word of mouth goes even farther! Which brings me to the food. Dang it was really expensive. The most expensive plate lunch I have ever purchased but I didn't know how much it was because she hung up on me as I was asking what my total was. $70 for 3 plates!! Everything thing was "ok" on the plate. Portions were really small for the cost. Nothing stood out EXCEPT for the smoked corned beef. OMG... it was absolutely amazing!!! I loved it. My kids loved it. Sapasui and whatever else I ordered wasn't that great because I can't remember what it was but the smoked corned beef was really good. I think it's worth the drive out there but the service... as much as I liked the smoked corned beef, I don't think I'll be going back there because of the service. read more

*DO NOT ORDER CATERING , HUGE DISASTER * We placed a very large catering order for our Mother's Funeral. (200 plates) We paid for the order upfront with a specific delivery time that was agreed upon and confirmed. The food arrived 90 minutes late. There was no apology give or an explanation as to why it wasn't there on time. The plates were an absolute disaster! Most of the plates were incorrectly assembled and missing food. The food was cold.( not warn at all) It was as if it was made the day beforehand. The rice was missing on nearly half of the plates and the ones that did have it, it was undercooked and hard (which is quite concerning that they didn't even get the rice made properly) The chicken was cold all the way to the bone. The corned beef portion was extremely small, dried out and cold. The quality of the food was so bad, people refused to eat it. This was a day that was difficult for our family, all we wanted was to have good food that we could enjoy as we gathered to remember our loved one. We didn't want to be busy cooking while we were laying our Mother to rest. We trusted this company to be professional and they were anything but. I have personally reached out to them twice today, with no response. I would have rather taken care of this issue privately but they have left us with no other options. I've gone here a few times now and although the staff is pretty friendly hence the 2stars. They're even more friendly with customers they know. Every time i've gone in and mind you their food is already pretty pricey, combos start at $17 going up... Baked goods are mehh pretty mediocre nothing special. It's a hit or miss with the fasi povi (what they're known for) some days it's tasty others it's really really salty!! (Bbq and regular) back to the friendly subject, and i get it it's your establishment you do whatever it is you please all i'm saying is as a paying customer... Dont give food away or "samples" away in front of another customer who just forked out damn near $100 on your your business! I wouldn't even call it a sample because samples are way smaller than what they give away. 1st time i had gone in, it was late Saturday they ran out on quite a few food items already but they made sure there was enough food for "friends" to sample. Maybe if they'd stop doing this they would actually have enough food to sell to people??? (just a thought) anyway it was late brushed it off. Now the 2nd time which was just over the week it happened again sad to say they've lost a customer just by that. Since moving to Salt Lake, my wife and I have stopped by this restaurant several times. They had catered our nephews grad party, and my wife's been hooked since. Our favorites include their smoked corn beef brisket, taro and turkey tails. Initially we expected the traditional soy sauce and brown sugar marinade, but this recipe puts a unique stamp on their dishes. Good job changing the game on poly food. See you soon... read more

Food is great. Recommend you get both poached/smoked corn beef. Sides: Ota, Curry Lamb, Turkey tail is delicious. They also have Vai Melon (Drink) which compliments the meal. And if your not stuffed from that try their baked good. Only wish they was opened 5 days a week. read more
