My boyfriend and I stumbled across Antares while we were meandering around Córdoba. It has a lovely…read moreupstairs patio overlooking the Paseo del Buen Pastor. We arrived on the early side and got a nice table. Within half an hour the place was packed to capacity. Unfortunately, this slowed the service down considerably. We finally ordered our beers and dinner. We watched as all the new guests were given their beers before us. It was a little frustrating, but both the food and drinks eventually arrived together. The beer was excellent. I chose the honeybeer and, for not being much of a beer drinker, I found it incredibly tasty and refreshing.My gnocchi dish was ok, but rather bland. My boyfriend, however, got the "Lomito Especial". He took one bite and his whole face lit up. He forced me to try a bite and we agreed that it was quite possibly the best lomito on earth. The bread was soft, with a special sauce soaked into it. The meat was lean and thinly sliced. In fact, it was so good we tried to go back the next night-- only to find a line down the block to get in. Ah, well. We will always remember Antares as the pinnacle maker of lomito sandwiches.

The pricing was pretty standard for the area. Around 80 for a beer and 172 is the cheapest bottle of wine. Needless to say, my group and I polished of quite a few bottles.
