This place did a terrible job as a company and horrible follow up. The receptionist who helped me seemed to be nice but when it was time to pick up my items. it was never done. it was an outside event on 40 acres of land and the owner texted me an invoice stating I owed him $500 because the property was not cleared. of the table and chairs that should have been picked up Monday. I called back to Party Plus twice with no return call and then they charged me $125.00. Besides the fact that they never returned or acknowledge my call after I was told by 2 different ppl I would get a call back, one entire stack of chairs I couldn't use because they were put together too tight and we couldn't be pulled apart. i will never use them again and I will be sending them my bill of $500 because they did not do there job. Buyer be aware!!!! In this case renter be VERY aware!!! You will loose 100% of your deposit which is a Whopping 50% of total cost that is required at booking. We had to canceled rental chairs and a few tables for a party event a couple of days after booking it due to a sudden death in the family. Management took 100% of the deposit even after explaining the circumstances. Not expecting a free pass here, just think that the penalty for canceling is excessive especially in this situation with ample notification. Just bad business practice in my opinion. They have surely lost me and anyone I know as future customers. read more

Buyer be ware! Ordered tablecloths for a wedding shower. Order and pick up went fine. Paid for in full. All of the tablecloths but 2 sizes were incorrect. All were ordered with specific sizes and all square and rectangular. We actually could not use one as it was a round. A couple of the tablecloths were even a different texture than the others. My response upon returning them was, we do get some of our table clothes from another source. They took no responsibility when I returned the tablecloths only to say "that's odd". Counted all of my returned table clothes in the back and then said okay your good to go. Not even an apology. Be careful here.... my experience says you will have no recourse. read more

I found Party Plus by chance in a last-minute effort to find a tent. They were quick to respond and so helpful. The team from start to finish were accessible and polite. Lauri, Keira and Ayisha in particular are just terrific, and the set up team was incredibly hard working and accommodating. This was my first time renting these types of tents and they are serious! Make sure to give yourself enough time to allow for set up. We ran a bit close to our start time, but the team was gracious and allowed up to work around them. I am only giving one star because negative stars are not available. We contacted Parties Plus about a month ago to set up a tent/chairs/tables rental about 60 guests for next June. Knowing that was a busy time of year, we wanted to get ahead of it. We initially got an email with several of their 'package' offers, but wanted to meet in person to get the details worked out. Tina Comma, sales rep, offered us Thursday, 10/21 at 2:00 pm. Great. Problem is, we showed up only to be told she wasn't in that day. ??? We asked to see someone else, but her manager, Lauri, was said to be busy. Funny thing is, she was at her desk a short distance away and clearly within earshot, but never offered to help. Receptionist Keira was the only one with any sense of customer service and took down some details, promising someone would be back to us the next day. Not great, but we agreed. Nothing on Friday. Monday comes and we get a very lame email from Tina with a lukewarm apology for missing the meeting she set up and promising a new proposal. It is now Friday, 10/29, and still nothing. I guess business is so good that they can ignore customers. Given that, I would recommend that anyone considering them look elsewhere as they will probably be too busy to help you, either. Completely unacceptable experience. They clearly deserve all of the one star ratings they have gained on Yelp. read more

I have used Party Plus for tent and event rentals for more than 20 years - some major events with more than 5,000 guests and some very small events of 100 or fewer guests. They always come through for me. Problems occur and no matter what the source the team at Party Plus helps me solve the issue. Most recently I discovered the day before and a wedding event that I forgot to order table runners. I recived them via overnight delivery from UPS. I was impressed by Lauri Dixson's creative thinking to get me what I needed quickly so the table decor met my bride's expectations. They always exceed my expectations and at a reasonable cost. In my experience, they deliver World Class customer service and strive to exceed customers expectations. read more

Terrible customer service. We ordered tables, but both tables AND chairs (that we did NOT order) were delivered. The tables were in AWFUL condition (chipped and splintered). One of our employees was seriously injured while helping their delivery people unload the chairs...that we did not order. (One of their delivery men didn't even leave the truck!) We left several messages to get the issue resolved, and no one returned our calls. We finally reached the general manager Lauri, who refused to entertain the idea of a refund. That is the last time we rent from them. There are too many other rental companies in the Baltimore area - we will take our business to a competitor next time. Buyer beware on this one! read more

Never, and I mean never use this company. We had a party set for Saturday, they were supposed to deliver a tent, 3 tables, and 30 chairs for the event. The tent showed up Friday, with no tables or chairs. When we attempted to call Leroy (the man who booked us) he didn't answer and when we finally got someone else from the company she stated that "he doesn't remember talking about tables or chairs with you". I stated that I had a price, so that's funny that I came up with tables and chairs being one price and the tent being another...but okay. Regardless our hands are tied, so they said they would wave the delivery fee but we'd have to pay for tables and chairs. Fine, not much I can do. I rented a fog machine and fog liquid from Party Plus on Saturday, October 24 for a Halloween party I was having. My boyfriend and I picked it up that morning, we got home and set up for the party. When we went to take the fog machine out of my car it leaked whatever was left inside it all over my back seat and down my boyfriends shorts. We emptied out what we could, filled it up with fog liquid and plugged it in... It wouldn't turn on. So I spent $25 for a fog machine I couldn't even use bc it was broke. We will never use Party plus rentals again. Ordered chairs for our daughter's wedding. Even though they had the date on the contract they never put a definite delivery date on our contract. So week before wedding when delivery was confirmed they wanted an extra $160 delivery fee because it was on a Saturday! When the Saturday date was listed as event date the entire time. We worked it out with venue for chairs to be delivered Friday so no extra charge. However, we received an invoice after the wedding with a charge for $160 for four broken chairs... We knew one broke when one of our guests sat on it (unacceptable quality) however, didn't know of 3 others. Funny it turned out to be same cost as previously requested extra delivery fee. I will never use this company again. Everything seemed easy in the beginning making arrangements, however they fell very short of making are rental experience great. My wedding was on July 3rd they were suppose to deliver everything on Fri July 1. It got there a day early, not a big deal. However we were never notified. Also we rented an arch that was very unpleasant to the eye and taped together, the tent was not at all suitable for a wedding. It was filthy dirty, straps hanging everywhere, rusted, uneven and looked like it had seen alot better days. They came and picked up the tent still charged us for it Even after we sent them pictures. Found out on Sat before the wedding as we were setting up that my two sweetheart table they provided is we were given the wrong legs. Suppose to be the same size as the other 8 tables we rented. Again we called and they insisted that they emailed us and spoke to a male about it. However I got NO email and whoever they spoke to wasn't with our rental. I was the only point if contact. They said they would switch it out and not charge us. They did bring the correct legs. However 2 of the linens for that table was still wrong and they charged us additional fees for there error. The worst party rental company ever... I used this company for a dance floor rental for an engagement party. The young lady who sold me the floor described the floor as white marble material and it would hold up to 40-50 people. I agreed and purchased over the phone. When the floor arrived it was a plastic linoleum tan floor that was big enough to hold 5-10 people. I could not believe it, it looked horrible. The drivers were so helpful and called Leroy and after many, many attempts he finally returned the call. He basically said the young lady who sold me the floor no longer worked there and there was nothing that he could do.. I had people showing up in 1 hour and if I wanted a dance floor that held up to 40-50 people, I would have to pay additional money. Are you serious?? i already paid hundreds of dollars and pay more money for a plastic linoleum floor that a person who no longer works there lied about the description? No thank you. He was very unapologetic and told me I could not get my money back. Go elsewhere and spend your money for quality rentals not this place. I'm surprised they are still in business..I will never recommend them... read more

Do not use this company! Continue to do more research and look for more reputable companies to rent from because Party Plus is horrible. My father and I did our research and received quotes from different rental companies in the DMV for tent, chair, and table rental for an outdoor party. Party Plus gave us 2 quotes. One quote was for a picnic package (tent, banquet tables, round tables, and chairs). The other quote was for a la carte (tent chairs, round tables). The lowest quote was for the a la carte and talked to Ashleigh over the phone to confirm. Ashleigh told us the 20 x 20 tent works best in our backyard based on the measurements provided by my father. Another person takes my credit card information and charges me for the more expensive picnic package. They also delivered the wrong items! I have been trying to get money due back to me and they continue to lie about 'extra poles' were needed to secure the tent. This company is a joke and I will never use them again. I advise others not to use them either. read more
