If I could give no stars I would. This store is always out of things and just one or two but whole sections, like the brown party supplies. Walked around and looked for a few mins, finally went to check out with 1 item and there wasn't a tag girl asked if there was another with a tag so I went and looked instead of her doing her job and nope none had a tag I told her they were right there in the clearance section and says $1. So she has to call someone up I'm guessing a manager waited long enough I said forget it and walked out with out my item. Thing is my family and I were the only ones in the store. So we came in the day before Halloween, knowing it would be busy. Waited not too long for make up and got home and the make up was dried up. So my daughter went to exchange it, just exchange it for the same thing. Not only did they give her a hard time about exchanging it for make up that wasn't dried up, as my daughter was leaving they said they hated it when bitches like her come in. Can you believe they called my daughter a bitch, while she was still in the store. I am so pissed off right now, I will be calling the district manager to discuss this. I went to this location and unfortunately was left disappointed with the experience. I was shopping around for my brothers birthday party, and asked TROY for some guidance. He answered with lazy responses that made him seem completely uninterested. Just seemed like an a**h*le in general. He responded while walking away leaving me confused and frustrated. Pro: good amount of parking, useful and efficient staff, and quick check out. Con: where's the anime party gear? Came here to pick up things for minion's bday party. I normally visit the one in Escondido but this one was closer at the time. Got my things, went to the counter where there was a line of 5 people, the cashier was moving things at the soup Nazi pace... nothing short of amazing since there were old ladies, mothers with kids, and clueless people like me. One of the party hat I picked out didn't have a tag on it, so my cashier looked it up and found it was in the wrong section. A stocker came out of nowhere and ran off to get me one that match the rest. I went 3/19/19 looking for rave gear and stuff for an EDM concert and when I described what I was looking for and wanted I was told, "hold on let me check" I waited over 15 minutes and finally found her at the front sitting at the register on her phone with no customers in sight. Terrible customer service. Quiet weekday morning, waited at least 10 mins to pay to have the cashier walk away from her register to ring up someone who just walked up. Party City has always been my go-to place for last minute birthday balloons... you can get a pretty decent amount of large balloons with small, regular balloons for about $20! Not sure if maybe prices are going up with this helium shortage... but they should still be fair. I've never really come in here for anything else, but they definitely have a large selection of party items, birthday cards, costumes, and much more so you can definitely what you're looking for.. read more

Worst party city ever! If I could zero stars I would. Called with a specific costume number and size to check if they had it and the girl said they did have it and asked if I wanted it put on hold so I said yes. I drive 20 miles to pick it up right away and then I get there and they put two different sizes on hold that I didn't even ask for and didn't have any in the size I wanted. The people who work here are just straight up LAZY and obviously have no brains. How hard is it to just check a size of a costume and say yes or no if they have that specific size? read more

I hate to complain but this was ridiculous.... I go into the store with a return...I'm in line and there are three people ahead of me. One cashier is open.... Then they open another cashier and she takes the two people in front of me... Which is fine, but then when I get to the cashier he says he cannot do returns and that I had to go to another line! Halloween disorganization just a little constructive criticism - Current: 1. Give costume # to employee, she writes down a ticket. 2. She calls in the # to the people in the back who try to memorize it along with size. 3. People in the back can't remember the number, asks to repeat it, multiple times. 4.The more siblings, the more times they ask again. 5. They find all the costumes and calls in that it is found. 6.Employee give you the ticket, walk to the pick up booth. 7. Give ticket to employee - they search for it by the 3-4 digit number. 8.You see it and tell him it's right in front of him. The more efficient way: 1. Give costume # to employee, she writes a ticket 2. Gives ticket to person in the back so they don't have to memorize it. 3. Costume & ticket goes to pick up booth where customer is waiting. BONUS points if all items in the bag are present, instead of getting home, opening bag and finding that the mask is missing. Called store and they said they would "look for the mask" or "give a discount." Now I have to go back and hope they have it. read more

Horrible awful customer service ...I called the Menifee Party City to order a bouquet of balloons for my husband's 50th birthday and if I was told very rudely that they didn't take orders over the phone and hung up on me. I bought balloons and they were the number ones,when I ordered them they said they would hold the helium for 3-5 days I came in earlier that day (my pickup time wasn't until 8pm) I went in around 2ish they were already blown up and had been sitting there. They are already deflated and no I didn't have them in the heat at all( they were deflated by the time I gave them to the birthday girl. Also I have been to a few other Party City's in other states and they have their Christmas items ups and full on the shelf, went in to this one just a few days ago and it looks like they are going out of business. read more

I wish I wouldn't have to come here anymore but with 2 young children I'm sure I will be back. But the customer service at this store is horrible. There is never anyone to help. Ever. And when I ask someone at the register they act annoyed. I came in to get a piñata and asked the girl at the register for some help 20 mins later I asked again. While waiting I observed the girl working the balloons be pretty rude and short with customers and when I had to ask her for help with the piñata she acted like she couldn't be bothered, although she was told I needed help 20 mins prior, I realize that she is probably overwhelmed since it was just her and another girl working but that's not my fault. I will definitely explore my options before coming here again. This is my last resort poor customer service and it's pricey. read more

I recently went to party city because I wanted to do a gender reveal without knowing myself. I brought in the envelope which said what the baby was and I asked Cheyenne to help me with filling a ballon with confetti without me finding out what I was having.She was amazing! She was very secretive to make it a surprise for not only me but my family. When I questioned the confetti I had originally chosen after I left she recommended what she thought was best and was just so helpful in every way. All of this while I had no clue what color confetti they picked to fill the balloon. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Thank you Cheyenne for everything! I was very pleasantly surprised to find the exact products I was looking for, excellent customer service, great prices and even a discount to match an internet price. Unbelievable!!! I purchased items a week ago, didn't even touch the bag, didn't use a thing. Packages intact, nothing opened. They go to get receipt which when I checked out was in the bag, it's not in there. I explain to the lady that it was in there and regardless the packages are exactly as I purchased them. They literally could put them back on shelf. They refused, best they could do is store credit!!! Are you freaking kidding me??? I asked for a manager I explained to her, these are not seasonal items they are items they carry all the time. Nope, store credit only!!! Will not go back EVER!!! I bought a Halloween costume there tonight and when I opened the package at home the costume had some sort of yellow brownish stain in the inside. Disappointing as the costume was for my son. The girl by the balloon counter offered to check me out. A manager then gets mad at her and says she's not aloud to ring me up for my items because I'm not getting balloons and sends me to another line with 20 people while I was in middle of a transaction... I was at the checkout trying to purchase a costume and the register freezes, which isn't a big thing to me, but the cashier(Michelle with the short bad ombré-do) didn't even offer to have someone else take me or do anything to solve the problem. Used to depend on this place for year round costuming needs as I am an avid cosplayer, but I guess corporate has made the decision to move away from carrying costumes, and wigs year round. Now I must make sure I plan weeks in advance to order online, well won't be frequenting here as often. Very disappointed. The worst experience I've ever had with customer service! I hate to name names, but the manager, (I believe her name was Amy) herself was EXTREMELY rude to me when I needed help looking for some items to plan for my daughter's birthday. She acted as though I was bothering her. Was very short with me and I basically got no help from her at all. I finally got asked by another employee if I needed help with my search and she took very good care of me. Her name was Angie and I wish there were more employees like that. You may want to reconsider your management staff because I find this type of "service" coming from a manager highly unacceptable. read more

I just had a bad experience at this party city. I felt as if I was being discriminated against. It was an awful feeling. I don't know what Stephanie's problem was all my mom asked her was to price check a couple of items that weren't priced. And then she started whispering something to another employee I think her name was Lisabeth. Lisabeth was polite when I got there but after Stephanie whispered something to her she began to be rude to us!! I am livid we felt as if we were dirt and as if we were going to steal.
