Super fast service from start to finish!! 5stars becuz again they strait nailed it from the very beginning from first point of contact the call rep was super nice and very polite!! He spoke loud and clear. The curtesy call to let me know my taxi had arrived and was outside was supposed to be around 25 minutes and called not even 15 minutes later and then the driver himself was ur average Joe Schmoe taxi driver and u could do tell he was well seasoned and had many many years n miles under his belt with the same taxi cab company his whole 20some years (which I think says a lot right there!!);) During my first ride cab ride like ever besides nyc he would tell me little cool fun facts about Baton Rouge band I felt safe and secure the entire trip!! Arrived very promptly he gave me his card and was very polite and sweet and answered quite a few questions for me! He even was very polite to offer to wait with me and i just thought that that was such a nice gesture giving the known facts I'm a single petite middle aged woman(37and a half lol) all by her lonesome and Baton Rouge isn't the safest of places so yeah that's was pretty freaking awesome of u ask me!!! But I told him no no go ahead I'm sure he had things he had to do or other rides or something but he insisted he could wait but I had to go in fix my sugar w some shake anyways so but yeah long story short superb exp. And deff will recommend and deff. Will use not only again but every single time I Need a taxi service while I'm intown !! Thanks guys so very much!! Keep doing the old school basics!!! 5‍

We changed our schedule to allow them to deliver the 10x20 on Friday morning. They never told us what time they were going to pick the tent up on Tuesday because this was Labor Day weekend. They showed up at 9:00 in the morning no one was home so they left without a call. I called them on Tuesday to see when they were going to pick the 10 up they said that they could not pick it up after 2:00. Who doesn't work after 2:00 p.m.. This went on for 3 days. After telling me that they were going to pick it up on successive days at particular times no one ever showed up. Finally on Saturday someone showed up and said that the tent was ruined because of the weather had rained on it. They wanted to charge me for the cost of the tent because no one ever came to pick up their tent. The owner left and said that we would continue the conversation at a later date. Like a thief in the night he charged my credit card at 9:30 at night stating that it was the policy of the company. If they had picked the 10 up on any of the days Tuesday Wednesday Thursday or Friday the 10th would not have been ruined by the weather. Now he's charging me as if it's my fault that he didn't come pick up their tent! Do not do business with these people !

My husband and I were invited to a friend's wedding this past weekend. We'd never been to White…read moreOak Plantation before so we didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the magnificient beauty of this place. It is GORGEOUS! The interior is very classy and elegant, with a beautiful staircase just as you enter. Outside, you are surrounded by exquisitely maintained gardens. It was absolutely stunning. It was an outside wedding, and the set up was nice. Afterward, we were guided to the patio area for the reception. There was a full bar set up to the left as you entered, and a mimosa station to the right of the patio. A nice set up area for the disc jockey. Hor d'oeurves were served to the guests while the guests waited for the arrival of the bride and groom. The hor d'oeurves they were serving were small boudin balls, grilled shrimp in bacon with what tasted like mild bbq sauce on them, and small grilled cheese. All were awesome. After the arrival of the bride and groom, the main food was served. They had this really cool set up that served shrimp and grits in martini glasses. You were able to add a variety of other items to your grits if you wanted. The other food areas served pork loin that could be made into small sandwiches. Another area had fried catfish, stuffed mushrooms, and pasta. The fried fish tasted as good as any restaurant I have ever been to. ALL of the food was restaurant quality, and served hot, not room temperature. I figured out it is owned by John Folse. You can definitely tell by the food quality! AWESOME! The staff were all VERY friendly and cordial. The facility was clean and well kept up. Absolutely gorgeous. I was nosy and asked the bride's mom what the event cost because it seemed to me that it HAD to be very expensive. I was actually stunned at the price she told me because I've been to weddings that cost significantly more, and were no where near as high class, elegant, simply GORGEOUS, and the food as fabulous. If you are looking for a venue for an event or a wedding, this hidden gem is DEFINITELY one to check out! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS (I can't say this enough!)

There are many plantation homes in the South and there are a few that are very dear to me (Houmas House and Oak Alley) but White Oak is numero uno in my books.
