I no longer live in Texas, so I saw another provider locally. That provider was recommended by this office and uses the same lab. During that visit, I was shown a clear image of an unsealed margin on the tooth adjacent to the failed restoration. This area is now causing significant sensitivity and requires treatment. Despite this, I was told by Dr. Young that addressing it would be a personal choice and not necessary. I was also told that issues like this could be related to whether I was keeping up with cleanings. I have consistently attended my dental cleanings before and after the restoration. I have been trying to get help since April 11, when the crown failed. I was finally told on 4/30 that a night guard would be remade and sent. I provided my address and never received a response or update. My records state that a night guard was delivered to me after treatment completion. I never received a night guard. What I was given were retainers, which I believed were night guards all along. I raised concerns shortly after placement in 2023, including asymmetry and bite issues, and provided photos at the time. I relied on the guidance that things were addressed. I am now dealing with a failed restoration, another tooth requiring treatment, and no protective night guard despite documentation stating otherwise.

Everyone I encountered during my 1st appt was warm, helpful & positive. It was quite apparent that everyone loves their workplace. My hygienist was Samantha & she made all the difference for me. Dental visits can cause me some anxiety, and I told Sam that right up front. She proceeded to adapt her whole process to accommodate that. I felt so cared for! They took good care of me! I had an unusual problem: I very occasionally grind my teeth, but the…read morebulkiness of a mouth guard feels awkward in my mouth and keeps me awake at night. Other dentists have told me "just deal with it", but the doc here came up with the perfect solution: we had an invisalign made for me -- not to align teeth, just to create a thin barrier that stops the grinding. It's made of very thin and light material, and I barely notice it in my mouth. They told me that they can't normally do this because heavy grinders would just chew through it, but for minimal and occasional grinding it's perfect. The moral of the story is, they took good care of me and I'm sure they'll do the same for you!
