I suspect that the gardens are a part of Westmead Hospital, namely because I had to wander through parts of the hospital to get here, but there is also a convenient entrance from Parramatta Park which allows access here as well. I would suggest coming in spring because that is when all the flowers are in bloom and it provides a very lovely and tranquil place to while away some time.

But avoid this place if you dislike crowds - unless you go during the week, but because of where it is located it might be hard to visit unless you live nearby.

The Granny Smith Festival is an old festival that brings the community together. The community has…read morechanged over the years and the festival recognises this change with the large number of stalls and the live performances on at the same time in different areas of the main streets. The fresh cooked foods presenting many different countries is a favourite of mine. Lunchtime is a real feast! The information stalls are always interesting too. Wow, there was a stall on Radiation today...got lots of interest. The best way to attend the festival is to go by train. Parking is impossible in the free council car parks and on the side streets. Each year it is around the same time.
