Decent water park. Not the best but still good. Some of the slides are made of concrete which has…read morebeen smoothed down to reduce the flow of friction and allow people to go down them without getting too badly hurt. However, because they are concrete, you can get cut and scraped pretty badly which I managed to see on a couple of occasions here. The setup is pretty simple with 2 main swimming pools. The big one is located right in the center where everyone gravitates to. You can easily access all the slides from the big pool. The other pool is located a bit further away which is a lot quieter and doesn't have as much people that use it. The park also has its own hotel which gives you special access to lounge chairs by the pool that can only be accessed by people staying at the hotel. There is one main restaurant that is open for lunch between 12-2 pm. This is a buffet per kg. There are smaller shops that sell pastels and Brazilian pastries as well. There are also lockers located for everyone. You need to pay R$15 to get a key and you get R$5 back when you return the key. This is a decent water park with some very fun activites. I wish there was more space for people to lounge and relax if they didn't go into the water. If you arrive early, make sure to secure one of the lounge chair areas.

We came here during the holiday season so it was ridiculously crowded, but still beautiful. The…read moreonly downside was the line to take the cable lift back to Balneario took about 2 hours. This was two days before New Years and the weather had been bad for the past week so everyone rushed there the moment there were sunny skies. I recommend visiting this beach, but not during peak tourist seasons. If you find yourself there, definitely eat some seafood, grab some coconut water or Skol, and enjoy the beach! Banana boat rides are available near the end of the beach.

Voted the best theme park in South America. I'd have to agree with this. However, compared to the…read moreones in North America, it doesn't come close. That being said, there is a lot of fun stuff to do here. If you're not big into roller coasters, there is plenty of other stuff to do. There's a decent sized zoo with a lot of animals to check out. There is a pirate island and a lot of shows. Make sure you check the show schedule so that you don't miss any that you want to check out. They have a show that is very similar to Medieval Times in the US where knights duke it out with swords/axes/maces. Lunch is served during this show as well. Some of the shows are extra so you'll have to pony up a bit more cash to watch them like the Medieval Times one. Also, if you want to use the Go Kart, you'll have to pay as well. There are also some roller coasters that involve water and you will get soaked so bring extra clothes and a towel. I would have like it if they had built a water park as well with water slides and swimming pools. They should look at how Six Flags does it in the US. I also wish there were more roller coasters. There are technically only 2 big ones, a Drop Zone one and an elevator one. There is 1 water/sit in a log and get soaking wet while going downhill fast and another water one which is more of a relaxing type one but will get you wet as well. In the pirate area, there is a big boat which swings back and forth but isn't that exciting for thrill seekers. More roller coasters would be enjoyable for the thrill seeker type person and less lines. Because there are so few roller coasters, the lines are outrageous so get there when the park opens and go straight for the roller coasters and get them in as many times as you can before seeing the other parts of the park.
