Then there's Plentzia, the town, in the south with lots of great shops and restaurants. And along the water you'll find this wonderful Promenade here.
You can start right from the carpark. We walked all the way south, where it continued to and through Plentzia. Always right by the water. A real nice walk. All paved, all flat. Very easy and suitable for all. Even though a nice summer day, it wasn't too busy. Along the way there are ice cream stalls, lots of cafés and restaurants. Several public toilets as well.
It was really a nice scenery. First the beach, later on more urban. Along a nice little port as well. We've been here before twice and always enjoy having a walk (and a good lunch) in this town. On the way back we went all the way to the northern end. From there - across the smaller carpark by the hospital - you could take a trail up to the lighthouse as well! We did so last time.
It's realy nice town - and a real nice Promenade. Lots of locals and also national tourists. But not really any international visitors. I liked that. Surely we'll be back again next time in the north.
