I am a current client of Parmele Law Firm. I will be firing them today. The lawyer they gave me was the most unprepared lawyer I have ever seen. The judge raised his voice 3 times during my most recent trial because of this very thing. Have you ever heard of a judge YELLING at a lawyer multiple times during a trial because of how poor a job he was doing? . His lack of care and preparation will cost a denial of my benefits. They are not worth the trouble. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign a contract. Record every conversation with them.

I would give 0 as a rating if it were an option. Parmele Law Firm in Joplin, MO is NOT where you should go for a good Disability lawyer. Sam Coring has got to be the laziest unprepared joke of an attorney I've ever seen. My sons case should have been a no brainer, I know firsthand what the system being broken truly means. I've witnessed it myself while caring for my disabled son. I'm the type that is very detail oriented, organized, keep records to CYA and very thorough and fact based. I do my homework, research and do my due diligence. I knew going in this would likely be years of waiting and multiple denials and appeals. I spoon fed this law firm with all the details, records, etc. They didn't have to work for me, I worked for them. Long story short Mr. Sam Coring showed up to the long awaited court date unprepared, citing incorrect dates, etc. He was an embarrassment. The judge was kind enough to give him a 30 day extension to send in proper documentation. As if this process of watching your son struggle everyday, have a diminished quality of life, being financially drained and him having to live with his parents until they die and then stress over who will care for you when they are gone (no complaints, we love our son and are totally okay caring for him) but it's devastating and heartbreaking when you have to tell your son that all this hard work and time invested was waisted due to an incompetent so called lawyer that didn't do his job. During the extended 30 day extension, I contacted the law firm multiple times to see if they had everything they need, sent more records of recent doctor visits and asked if they submitted what the judge had asked for. I was assured they were on top of it and it was all submitted. As I waited another several months, I get the final letter letting me know we were denied again due to our attorney never sending in the requested information and the letter stated they even allowed a longer extension than the original 30 days given to allow him plenty of time but no response from him was ever received. All back pay was GONE due to incompetent Sam Coring. He's worthless. He exhausted our appeals and I had to start the process over. 4 years and counting and my sons back pay which totaled to several thousand dollars was gone. Found a new attorney in Fayetteville, AR which is licensed in Missouri and was approved the first time. read more

You are better off going without a lawyer than using Parmele. They take forever to return phone calls and emails. They frequently do not call when they have information relevant to your case. They waste YEARS on poorly written appeals and then their lawyer doesn't even say 10 words during a hearing. Then they tell you that your case is not worth appealing BUT they want to file a new claim. If the case is not worth appealing then why do they think a new case will help? It appears they do the very minimum (and that is questionable) and hope for an easy judgement. If they don't get that they ignore you for months at a time. They lose paperwork and ask you to turn in the same information multiple times. Find a different law firm. read more
