My wife and I needed passport pictures. We called Walgreens and they happily tell you to come in…read moreanytime. I went and they only one person working the front register. She informed me she would do her best. I sat in the picture chair. She helped me in between customers. I was in there for about 25 minutes to get a picture that should take less than five minutes. But she did try. My wife left work early to get hers done a few days later. The employee working the front informed her they weren't going to do it because they were too busy. She went to CVS and they did it no problem. Apparently Walgreens don't employ enough people. They need to advertise passport photos are contingent upon their ability to do so at the time.

However, today 2 of my 3 items that I ordered online for pickup were wrong. They obviously were not scanned. It was annoying, though the manager was very apologetic. I hope this was a one-off and doesn't happen again soon, since I often order online for pickup. I'm more used to experiencing problems with orders at the Whitestown CVS store.

Today, Max's son, Dr. John Cowan operates the pharmacy. The drug store maintains its historic and independent charm. The pharmacy counter stands as it did 50 years ago, serving customers. The first six prescriptions filled in 1885 hang framed on the wall surrounded by vintage pharmaceutical bottles. The pharmacy provides vaccines as well as fills prescriptions. The store also sells a great selection of Hallmark cards and gifts, local postcards, candy and nuts. While the photo shop within the drugstore closed years ago, a collection of vintage cameras is displayed on shelves. The Cubbard is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in the rear of the store. The food is down home delicious. You see the same friendly faces every visit. Cowan's is an amazing locally owned business and worth a visit. There is free street parking.

He gave me an overview of the history of this store. They don't make them like they used too. As a pharmacist myself, he even let me tour the back (and I am HIPAA trained). I have several medications that I get filled every month and at one point all of my medications…read morewere picked up at the same time. Due to the unprofessionalism of the pharmacy department my medications are so thrown off that I was picking one up every week or two, so they were no longer in sync My biggest issue with the pharmacy here is that the preference by the staff is to use the app because it's easier for me and for them, but all it does is create a hassle for me. If the app had worked, then that would be great and I think there's some disconnect between the apps and their system that they see in the pharmacy. I always request my medication to be delivered to me and I pre-pay on the app and I always select deliver to me and I confirm my address and my payment method. Every single time I have requested my medication to be filled through the app and delivered to my home. It never does get delivered. I always have to call the pharmacy and ask them if they know when my medication will be ready to ship and they said that it is not scheduled to be shipped. After dealing with the shenanigans for two years, I finally gave up and I moved over to CVS pharmacy. Already they have all of my information, all of my medications, and they have them all synced up together to be picked up at once. I wish I would've switch sooner because Walgreens is just absolutely awful in the pharmacy department here. If you need regular medications, I definitely do not recommend the pharmacy. Maybe better for a "every now and then" prescription, but the excuse that I always get is that they don't keep my medication in stock and that is why I end up going through my stock of my medication and then I'm left without medication for anywhere between three days to two weeks just because they can't plan ahead. Again, I definitely do not recommend for those who have regular prescriptions to be picked up on a monthly basis because this place is horrible and the customer service is not great either.
