The pasta and pizza buffet is a disgrace: cold pasta, poorly cooked, canned sauces, and microwave pizzas. We paid an insane €72 for 2 adults and 1 child, and they only allow 3 plates and 3 cups. If you want to change a plate or cup for another food or drink, you literally have to beg. They also have water rides and then charge you extra if you want to dry off. Tickets at the gate cost almost double compared to buying them online on their own website. The staff is neither friendly nor qualified. All in all, this is the worst theme park I've ever been to, and definitely one of the most expensive. A total rip-off.

The room is nice, spacious (especially for London) and serves it's purpose. The front desk was non stop busy with tourists, families, solo travelers and business people coming or going throughout the day. If you need a nice, safe, clean, convenient place while in London for a short stay and are flying out of LHR, this is a solid place. It's in terminal 5 so departures are right there. If you are flying out of another terminal (2, 3 or 4) it's a quick free train ride.

Signage in the arrivals area clearly directs you to the hotel. It probably took approximately 10 minutes to walk to the hotel from the arrivals area. The check-in process was quick, but they did not appear to offer a digital key and online check-in process to allow you to go directly from the plane to your room. The hotel is very large, and it can be a bit confusing to locate your room. The room was comfortable but rather dated in its appearance. A very odd thing - there were no charging plugs whatsoever at the bedside. The bathroom was quite small, and the bathroom shower stall routinely leaked water onto the bathroom floor. Our room also had no view other than an interior view of windows of other rooms. Our room featured Club Millesime access - the club is located on the check-in level. It's fairly spacious but is very bland inside and doesn't really have a view or anything particularly upscale about. For breakfast they had various cold items out buffet-style. If you wanted to order a hot meal (no additional charge) you had to order with the staff. However, there was only one staff and they apparently had to leave and walk to the restaurant to place each order. That resulted in a fairly long wait time. The omelette I had was overall quite good, but I wish they could work on the process a bit. Overall, this is a decent and convenient hotel for a night's stay at Heathrow Terminal 5.

If you go I recommend the Windsor Castle tour, the Horse and Groom for AMAZING Chicken and Mushroom Pie (as well as perfect Pimms) and the Criterion Pub for a wonderful couple who own it, and an evening pint.

The bathroom was small, and the shower was cramped, but doable. The sink was placed in the corner and the toilet was right next to the shower. It reminded me of a half bath in the United States. Upon opening the room door, there was an area to place your coats and jackets, along with your luggage. A coffee/tea station was next to it, and the wall ended with a good size desk. There was a window facing a side patio, looking upon the street. There was also a radiator in the room. The twin size beds were separated by a small end table. The room was modest with minimal décor. I had no issues with stickiness, mold, or any other unkemptness. When we arrived to the hotel/restaurant, it was during dinner rush - so I expected a small wait to be checked in - but the staff was courteous and gave proper directions to the rooms. Walk up the stairs from the train platform, walk back down on the other side, walk through half a parking lot and you are there. I made a wrong turn, and walked 2 miles to the other Holiday Inn...not the right one. The other great thing that since you are close to the train station, you can hop on the train to Windsor. You will need to hop the train to Windsor, because there isn't a restaurant in site of this place. Windsor is the touristy side, however, if you get there late, like I did, only the grocery store is open- Waitrose. But other restaurants and shopping are there and Windsor castle. The Windsor train only goes to Windsor and Slough and back; no other places. Also icky: at the time, no Wifi. No joke. No wifi. I only had my phone with me, and couldn't get the internet... I can't remember if they had Ethernet for your laptop, but I am thinking no. Double-check on that. Room was clean and modern. This place is fairly new. Shower only. Bed- a little hard. Service was good. Took a taxi to Heathrow, as you would have to take a train all the way back to London and then down to airport. No other transportation. Good: Room newer.
