Since I decided to attempt to purchase my first house, which I had a small fraction of ownership in already, this transaction was both not straight forward and somewhat complex as it was my first house purchase. Ed and his team were amazing at coming up with solutions that would work for all parties, the seller, and the buyer and all involved. (Now to set the record straight...after looking at the other financial institutions in the valley, this place had the best banking options available - and that is kinda a sad thing) Anyways, my current beef with them is that their system keeps getting compromised. Let me repeat that (pun intended) keeps getting compromised. For the last several years, both cards have been "hacked" every 2-3 months. And sadly, if this happens on the weekends, their call center can't do nothing to help

I have banked with these guys since February 2025 and they have been great in the whitefish…read moreLocation but I just recently went to the Columbia falls location to cash a personal check which i have Cashed many checks from this particular client, she also has an account there but this check was through USSA which is a nationwide bank and they told me that they were gonna have to put a 5 day hold on it and I'm pretty sure they were profiling me I could almost bet my life on it and there is no reason whatsoever I have not been overdrawn except for maybe once for a short time and it was for 10$ But the check was only $420 which I have cashed many checks ranging from 400 to 315 to $200 and never once had a problem with it Until I went to Columbia Falls location and oh no they were not nice first of all very rude and like I said pretty sure they were profiling me I was not happy I pulled away and then I looked on my account and they didn't put a 5 day hold but they put a 7 day hold and then I go into whitefish location to speak with them about it and the guy tells me that they could get cuffed literally if they cash a fraudulent check which is BS you're not going to get cuffed unless you're in on it or something and he also said that he would talk to the supervisor about it and see if he can overlook my account and maybe get the hold taken off. It is ridiculous there's absolutely no reason to put that hold on That check and low behold I never got a call like they said I would and they never took the hold off-white fish is not so bad but I am not happy with this last outcome and columbia falls their terrible terrible people there!!!!
