It's similar to America's CNN or Britain's BBC in terms of news and commentary. France 24 offers English speaking anchors and all French interviews are with English subtitles. Of course, while in France my eyes and ears were directed at the developing stories in the Ukraine. The commercials are mostly in French, but again with English subtitles. For me, I can watch cartoons, comedies, drama all in French. I am absolutely obsessed with French Cinéma! However, for news, I still prefer it in English with no subtitles;)

Whopping retainer. Finally got a 'memo' type of response on plain white paper (and no phone number,…read moreemail, or contact info for the lawyer who did the "work" that didn't answer my questions. More than a year later and after repeated requests, I still have not received a statement/invoice/accounting of how much time they spent and no return on the balance from my retainer. None of the US phone numbers work and when I called France, Msr Hourcade answered "hello" on the phone - obviously no staff working there. He told me the 'associate' who did the work would call me and give me the info. She didn't. I had to tell him my name and contact info which he didn't even ask for. I don't understand since he's on CNN frequently but I'm guessing I will never see my 'unused' retainer refunded and I am livid after repeated tries to get a client statement from him. Since he's on the list of 'approved' law firms recommended by the US Consulate in France, I'm going to notify them of what my problem is.
