By the time I go my feet are a total mess so I'll get a callous removal but it seems like most places kinda just rough up the dead skin. Came in with no appointment and got a seat right away. The place was busy. My pedicure noticed that I got blisters on both toes and gave me bandit after taking my original gel color off. Much appreciated. The pedicure is done satisfactorily as well. HOWEVER, when I was paying for my pedicure, the lady at the cashier asked how much I wanted to put on my card and I said 50 (38 for deluxe pedicure + 5 for taking off gel + tip). She charged me 53 instead. I tried to remind her that I said 50, but she was just smiling and not paying attention to me anymore. I didn't want to argue too much because my pedicure lady was standing right next to her, so I left. Maybe it's a misunderstanding BUT definitely a downside for the whole experience. read more

I'm not impressed with this place. And I don't consider it one $ They were nice when I walked in and asked if they do the gel powder. He asks what color I wanted without even giving me the samples. I felt like I was an inconvenience at this point and settled for pink and white acrylics. He left for a smoke break while the super glue on my nails dried...last I checked super glue dries pretty fast. The lady mopping the floor had to yell at him to come back inside. My nails look okay but the whites on the thumbs are too thick and wide flared, so I'll have to file them. There was no lotion, no hand massage, and zero conversation. $40 + tip later and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I came in for a manicure and was able to be seen immediately. Once I sat and started my service I was able to look around and this place is concerningly dirty. Flat surfaces are covered in a layer of dust, clutter everywhere, the sink looked like it had a slimy layer on the bottom. This place has not been maintained to the clean photos shown. read more

Tried this for the first time. Had a 1:00 for a pedicure. Place was packed. They were not welcoming & made me wait outside 15 minutes. During the pedicure, she asked if I wanted callous removal, which increased the price from $25 (basic) to $35. I agreed. After that, without asking, she applied sea salt without my approval. Now I'm in $45. Or so I thought. When she finished, she charged me $55. No idea where that last extra $10 came from. This was a good pedicure, but the non-consensual up charges was BS. I came here for years as did my family, and after how bad the service was that I recently received... I can't imagine how they service a random walk in. I guess I can kind of answer the statement above because I brought a friend with me who they were completely rude to. She picked a color from the gel wheel and they started to give her a pedicure with normal polish and when she said she wanted gel they very rudely told her she should've told them. I feel like picking from the get wheel says it in itself? Regardless, their attitude was horrible. I got dip nails with acrylics and it took over an hour and a half - closer to TWO HOURS. Some totally had indents at the tip of the nail that I kept showing who was doing my nails and she claimed she couldn't see them. However that wasn't even what made the process so long. I swear this woman worked in actual slow motion... In addition to the slomo & her being "conveniently"oblivious... Multiple times she accidentally used the drill against my skin and just said oh shoot each time that I started bleeding. But wait! There's more! The second day all 5 nails on one of my hands was completely matte. At the end of the dip nails process they do put your hand under the gel cooker so I'm guessing something went wrong when she did that step.., I went in about a week later to get those horrible nails taken off and Bonnie (who I believe is the owner) took care of me so I shared my experience with her and she completely nonchalant just nodded. She then soaked off my dip nails and I asked her if the acrylic tips come off too and she said yes. I thought I could feel them on my nail once she wrapped up but figured my nails were just damaged from the dip/acrylic. Once I got home and trimmed my nails a little bit to make them even since I left with horrible looking nails I realized the acrylic tips were indeed still on. Not to mention on both my last visits they were 30+ min behind. I get it, salons get busy. But don't tell somebody they have an appointment at X time if you sure as heck cannot take them even remotely close to that. The fact that I paid for any of the above is mind boggling to me especially since this salon definitely isn't cheap (NOT "$" someone someone else mentioned below). I would not recommend this salon to anyone ever again and I will never go back. read more

Don't even waste your time with this place. I went in for a pedicure. They seated me in a massage chair and basically ignored me for an hour before I finally left. Apparently making an appointment doesn't help. Another woman came in with an appointment, and when I left, she had been waiting for thirty minutes past her appointment time. I called in advance asking if they did designs, had gems and they told me that they did and once I was seated they declined two of the ideas that I showed them because nobody knew how to do it. The staff seemed extremely flustered until I had chosen the most basic of basic designs. All we needed was a gold shade yet they didn't have that either. Absolutely love this nail salon! I recently switched nail salons as I felt like my previous go-to place was not putting as much attention and detail into their mani/pedis as they used to. I came here because I was in the area and they had good Yelp reviews. This is the second time I've gone and I'm obsessed with how precise they are and how long their mani/pedis last! I usually have a difficult time keeping up my nails, manis especially, and within a week or so there are usually already little chips. These nails are after 2 and a half weeks and look like I just got them done!! I've been here twice before and each time was a good service. Nothing too extreme but both pedicures came out nice and the pricing is good. A regular pedicure is 25, gel is 38, and they have options to add on callus removal and sea salt treatment. I came in again for a pedicure and the lady was reusing her gloves (the way you peel them off from the wrist so you can put it back on without having the outside touch anything again) which is very unsanitary. I also told her that my current polish wasn't gel when she went to take it off and she tried arguing that it was to charge me for gel removal, and when I told her to please be careful with my big toes for ingrown nails, she dug and cut at the top but left the rest once she got frustrated. I mentioned it to her that I could still feel my toe was firm but she told me she got all of it, so I asked her to please leave it alone after she went back and was picking at my skin. It was an overall bad experience, even though the first two times were okay I'd rather find a new place. read more

WARNING: MOST EXPENSIVE AND PAINFUL PEDICURE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THREE DOCTOR VISITS SO FAR BECAUSE OF MY PEDICURE. ($155 in doctor visits SO FAR + pedicure price). I used to love Paris Nails. I have been coming here for about a year now. I have found it difficult to find a great place in the Thousand Oaks/ Newbury Park area. I thought they were reasonably priced and I loved the HGTV they had playing all the time. If you get a manicure or a pedicure, they have two or sometimes even three people doing your nails so you feel obligated to tip them all. (This would be more understandable if they were doing your toes and nails at the same time.. this usually is not the case... but personally I think they each try to work on as many people as possible to get people to tip more). ANYWAYS, last month I got a mani pedi before a wedding. Right as the young lady started clipping my nails I told her "please be careful. I do not want to get an ingrown toenail". I said this because I had the same woman before doing my toes. She would DIG into the sides of my toes and try to clip my nail there. NOT OKAY! SO this time I told her to please not do that. I thought she was just pushing my cuticles back or cleaning around the area.. and then.. SNIP! she cut into the side of my toe and I was silently yelping in pain at my seat. After my pedicure I left in moderate pain from her doing this. After about a week my toenail was GROSSLY infected and landed me into the urgent care! The doctor told me that this was absolutely not okay and that the tools that were used were most likely not clean either. Great. I then went to a podiatrist who had to surgically remove half of my toenail. It was bad. read more

One day after a long day of studying, I decided to treat myself to a manicure at Paris Nails and could not have been happier with the results. Their staff is so nice, clean, and organized. Tom did my nails today, I'm new to the area and originally get my nails done in either Camarillo or northridge. When I made an appointment at Pairs they were super nice on the phone, I came in late and they still took me right away. Tom listened to how I wanted my nails done. I really liked how he showed me the colors before he put the gel on. Only thing I'd mention is that my thumbs are slightly more thick/bulky than the rest of my nails. The salon was a bit busy when I walked in so I asked if there was a long wait and that my girlfriend and I could set an apt. and come back. We were told No wait and to pick a color. Apparently "no wait" meant soaking my feet for 35 minutes before ever being attended to. I was a prune! There's a very small selection of gel nail colors. Which was disappointing. also my gel mani did not include any kind of massage. I have sensitive cuticles asked that he be gentle instead he Repeatedly made my fingers bleed. After spending 2 Hours for a mani/pedi I was done. I was charged the same price as my girlfriend who had acrylics removed but the same mani/pedi... Good for her, bad for me. Im picky when it comes to mani / pedis. I am very active and bite my nails a lot so I need extra work done when I have a manicure. Here they spent their time and cleaned up my cuticles beautifully. The foot massage was great too, and not lackadaisical. My favorite thing is that they do not upsell or bug you for special packages, scrubs, extra massages, flowers etc... like they do everywhere else. My only complaint would be that the chairs aren't the best Ive been in but all in all a great spot for a nice treat. read more
