However it is a lovely little shop and it is definitely worth going out of your way to have a look around.

I used to think this shop was great in the 1980s - it was a place to find unusual gifts. It all looks really dated and tacky now - so either I've become incredibly sophisticated in my old age, or Clayhanger really haven't kept up with retails trends - I suspect the latter.

There are lots of little gifts as well as a large party accessories area where you can find everything from balloons to party favours. It is not just a place for children as there are many big kids in there as well as there is a large range of retro sweets as well. Very good for children spending their pocket money, very good for adults buying sweets to make their own retro sweet boxes or hampers. The staff are very helpful as well.
